Brittany Smart
Brittany Smart (born May 28, 1985) is an American professional basketball player. Early career High school Smart attended 3 different high schools in the Ohio area, ending her high school career at Shawnee High School, Springfield Ohio. Her father, Mike Smart, coached her throughout her high school career. She made the 1st-Team-All-Conference for all four years and led her team to the State Championships. In her senior year, Smart was the leading scorer in the whole of Ohio high school basketball averaging 32.5 points per game and 2,181 points for the season. College Smart signed early to Cedarville University near her hometown of Xenia, Ohio. Declining several Division 1 scholarships, she opted to stay local and go to the same school her grandparents and parents attended. Smart remains one of Ohio's all-time leading scorers in college basketball, and at the time of her graduation, she was the top scorer in the state of Ohio, men's and women's, with 3,236 Career Points. Women's National Basketball League
The Women's National Basketball League (WNBL) is the pre-eminent professional women's basketball league in Australia. It is currently composed of eight teams. The league was founded in 1981 and is the women's counterpart to the National Basketball League (NBL). Several WNBL teams have NBL counterparts. SEABL
The South East Australian Basketball League (SEABL) was an Australian semi-professional basketball league. The league comprised both a men's and women's competition and was run by the country's governing body, Basketball Australia. The league was one and the same with the Australian Basketball Association (ABA) from its inception in 1981 until 1993. With the inclusion of a North conference from Queensland in 1994, the history of the SEABL and ABA was split from one another for the first time. 2020 WNBL Season
The 2020 WNBL season was the 41st season of the competition since its establishment in 1981. The Canberra Capitals were the two-time defending champions, but were defeated in the Semi-Finals by Melbourne. The Southside Flyers won the Grand Final, defeating the Townsville Fire, 99–82. The Flyers took home the franchise's fourth WNBL title overall, this being their first since rebranding as ''Southside''. Chemist Warehouse was again the WNBL's naming rights partner for this season, after signing a three-year deal in July 2018.
