Brinsley FitzGerald
Lieutenant-Colonel Brinsley FitzGerald, CB (25 September 1859 – 9 February 1931) was an Irish stockbroker. Early life Brinsley FitzGerald was born on 25 September 1859, the fourth son of Sir Peter FitzGerald, 1st Baronet of Valencia, 19th Knight of Kerry (1808–1880) and Julia Hussey. He was educated at Rugby School and University College, Oxford. Career FitzGerald worked as a land agent in Ireland for seven years, and from 1895 until 1918 was a member of the London Stock Exchange, with the firm of Basil Montgomery FitzGerald and Co. He was appointed a second-lieutenant in the West Somerset Yeomanry on 18 January 1900. Following the outbreak of the Second Boer War in late 1899, he had volunteered for active service and was attached as a lieutenant to the 25th Company of the 7th Battalion, Imperial Yeomanry, on 24 February 1900. Rugby School
Rugby School is a public school (English independent boarding school for pupils aged 13–18) in Rugby, Warwickshire, England. Founded in 1567 as a free grammar school for local boys, it is one of the oldest independent schools in Britain. Up to 1667, the school remained in comparative obscurity. Its re-establishment by Thomas Arnold during his time as Headmaster, from 1828 to 1841, was seen as the forerunner of the Victorian public school. It was one of nine prestigious schools investigated by the Clarendon Commission of 1864 and later regulated as one of the seven schools included in the Public Schools Act 1868. The Royal Yacht Squadron (RYS) is a British yacht club. Its clubhouse is Cowes Castle on the Isle of Wight in the United Kingdom. Ashdown Park is a biological Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI) south of Ashbury in Oxfordshire. The SSSI is part of the park of Ashdown House. The park has been designated an SSSI because of the lichens on its many sarsen boulders. Lieutenant-Colonel Sir Henry Mulleneux Grayson, 1st Baronet, (26 June 1865 – 27 October 1951) was an English shipbuilder. John Armstrong Drexel (October 24, 1891 – March 4, 1958) was an American aviation pioneer who was a member of the prominent Drexel family of Philadelphia.
