Bridges Creek
Bridges Creek is a stream in southeast Ozark County in the Ozarks of southern Missouri. It is a tributary of the North Fork River. The stream begins at the junction of North Bridges Creek with South Bridges Creek. The north branch has headwaters in Howell County just west of Caulfield and south of U. S. Route 160 and it flows southwest into Ozark County and past Elijah. South Bridges Creek also starts in Howell County to the south of Caulfield adjacent to Missouri Route 101 and flows southwest to the junction. The two streams are each about five miles in length. Bridges Creek flows southwest from the junction and enters Norfork Lake about two miles south of Tecumseh and just north of Udall. Bridges Creek has the name of one Mr. Bridge, a pioneer citizen. Ozarks

North Fork River (Missouri–Arkansas)
The North Fork River or the North Fork of White River (Its official name is "North Fork River"; "North Fork of White River" is a recognized variant.) is a tributary of the White River, into which it flows near Norfork, Arkansas. Howell County, Missouri
Howell County is in southern Missouri. As of the 2020 census, the population was 39,750. The largest city and county seat is West Plains. The county was officially organized on March 2, 1851, and is named after Josiah Howell, a pioneer settler in the Howell Valley. Howell County comprises the West Plains, MO, Micropolitan Statistical Area. History Howell County was organized on March 2, 1857, from Oregon County, and is named for Josiah Howell, who made the first settlement in Howell Valley. Elijah is an unincorporated community in eastern Ozark County, Missouri, United States. It is located approximately twenty-two miles west of West Plains on Missouri Supplemental Route V, one mile south of U.S. Route 160. Missouri Route 101
Route 101 is a short highway in southern Missouri. The route starts at Arkansas Highway 101 at the Arkansas–Missouri state line, and travels northeastward. It travels through the city of Bakersfield, intersecting Route 142. The road then continues north to its northern terminus at U.S. Route 160 (US 160) in Caulfield. The route was designated in 1941, after a supplementary route was renumbered. Route description The route is located in Ozark and Howell counties. Norfork Lake
Norfork Dam is a large dam in northern Arkansas southeast of Mountain Home. It dams North Fork River and creates Norfork Lake. The top of the dam supports a 2-lane roadway, part of AR 177. History In the late 1930s, before construction of the Norfork Dam had begun, the local economy of Baxter County, Arkansas was deteriorating. The yearly per capita income had fallen to between one-hundred and two-hundred dollars, and in 1940 alone more than six hundred small farms were abandoned.
