Brianne Nelson (born October 27, 1980) is an American long-distance runner active from 2011-2018. Nelson competed at the 2016 IAAF World Half Marathon Championships where she placed 28th, and participated in the US Olympic Marathon trials. She represented the U.S. at the Great Edinburgh International Cross Country championship. 2016 IAAF World Half Marathon Championships
The 2016 IAAF World Half Marathon Championships took place on 26 March 2016 in Cardiff, United Kingdom. It was the 22nd edition of the event and the 4th in the United Kingdom alone. In conjunction with the men's elite race, an open half marathon was held on the same course for 16,000 competitors. Great Edinburgh International Cross Country
The Great Edinburgh International Cross Country was an annual cross country running competition that took place every January in Edinburgh, Scotland. It was one of the competitions in the Great Run series of athletics events and was held alongside the Great Winter Run 5 kilometres mass participation race. The event was first held in Edinburgh in 2005 after the city was awarded the Great North Cross Country which relocated from Durham. The Great Edinburgh International Cross Country featured three professional races: the men's 8 km race, the women's 6 km race, and the 4x1km relay. It was an IAAF permit meeting, which means that performances could be used to qualify for the annual IAAF World Cross Country Championships. Fort Lewis College is a Public university, public Liberal arts education, liberal arts college in Durango, Colorado. Because of its unique origins as a military fort turned Indian boarding school turned state public school, FLC follows a 1911 mandate to give qualified Native Americans a tuition-free education and awards approximately 16% of the baccalaureate degrees earned by Native American students in the nation. Great Cow Harbor 10K
The Great Cow Harbor 10-Kilometer Run is a road running event held annually in the Long Island village of Northport, New York, on the third Saturday each September. The race is co-organized by its organizing committee (The Great Cow Harbor 10-Kilometer Run, Inc.), the Northport Running Club, and Northport American Legion Post 694. The title sponsor is Capital One Bank. Proceeds from the race benefit several local charities as well as the Special Olympics of Long Island. History The Great Cow Harbor 10K was created by John Rakucewicz, with its initial run in 1977. 1,002 runners finished the first Cow Harbor 10K. The race steadily grew throughout the 1980s; in 1985, due to the rapid growth, the race instituted a staggered start (named for designer John J. Pitfick), which is still in use today.
