Brian Martin (basketball)
Brian Martin (born August 18, 1962) is an American former professional basketball player, who had a brief career in the NBA. Born in Fort Smith, Arkansas, he attended Hutchinson Community College and the University of Kansas. Martin, a 6'9", forward, was selected by the Indiana Pacers with the 185th overall pick in the 1984 NBA draft. His only NBA season ( 1985–86) was split with the Portland Trail Blazers and the Seattle SuperSonics. Martin also had a lengthy career in the Continental Basketball Association (CBA). In 252 games over six seasons, he averaged 9.0 points and 8.7 rebounds per game. Brian Martin (born 24 February 1963 in Bellshill) is a Scottish former footballer who played as a central defender, best known for his seven-year spell at Motherwell. Club career Martin began his career in the Scottish lower leagues with Albion Rovers and Stenhousemuir. He then dropped back into the Junior grade with Shotts Bon Accord for three years before joining second-tier Falkirk in 1985. In his first season with the ''Bairns'' the club achieved promotion to the top division, and maintained their status in the second. In 1987 Martin moved to Hamilton Academical, and in his single campaign there he again helped the ''Accies'' win promotion, this time as champions. By then he had already moved on to St Mirren, where he stayed for three seasons in the Scottish Premier Division before being signed by fellow top-level club Motherwell in November 1991 for £175,000. Brian Martin (born January 19, 1974) is an American luger who competed from 1990 to 2010. Competing in four Winter Olympics, he won two medals in the men's doubles event with a silver in 2002 and a bronze in 1998. He was born in Palo Alto, California. Martin also won nine medals at the FIL World Luge Championships with two silvers (Mixed team: 2004, 2005) and seven bronzes (Men's doubles: 1999, 2000, 2004, 2005, 2007, 2009; Mixed team: 2001). Brian Martin (born 1947) is a social scientist in the School of Humanities and Social Inquiry, Faculty of Arts, Social Sciences and Humanities, at the University of Wollongong (UOW) in NSW, Australia. He was appointed a professor at the university in 2007, and in 2017 was appointed emeritus professor. Brian Frank Martin
Brian Frank Martin (2 November 1936 – 24 April 2023) was the fourth Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of the Northern Territory. He was appointed to that position on 26 February 1993 when the former Chief Justice Austin Asche took up appointment as Administrator of the Northern Territory. Chief Justice Martin was appointed a Judge of the Court in 1987 and, following his retirement, still assisted the Court as an Acting Judge having been appointed to that position in 2004. He was unusually succeeded as Chief Justice by a person bearing the same first name and surname, Justice Brian Ross Martin. The two men are distinguished by their middle names. Brian Ross Martin (born 2 September 1947) is an Australian jurist. He was a judge of the Supreme Court of South Australia before being appointed Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of the Northern Territory in 2004.
