Brian Johnson (politician)
Brian Johnson (born June 27, 1961) is an American politician serving in the Minnesota House of Representatives since 2013. A member of the Republican Party of Minnesota, Johnson represents District 32A in eastern Minnesota, which includes the cities of Cambridge, Isanti, and North Branch, and parts of Chisago and Isanti Counties. Early life, education, and career Johnson grew up on a dairy farm and attended Cambridge High School. He graduated from Hibbing Community College, now Minnesota North College Hibbing, with an associate degree in law enforcement. Johnson worked as a firefighter and EMT in Braham and was a deputy sheriff in Isanti County for 17 years. Roger W. Crawford (born June 8, 1952) is an American businessman and politician. Biography Crawford was a member of the Minnesota House of Representatives who represented District 8B, which includes portions of Isanti, Kanabec and Pine counties in the east-central part of the state. A Republican, he is a real estate appraiser and small business owner. He has served as mayor of the city of Mora, MN and as a Kanabec County Commissioner. Braham is a city in Isanti and Kanabec counties in the U.S. state of Minnesota. The population was 1,769 at the 2020 census. Braham is 12 miles north of Cambridge, 15 miles southwest of Pine City, 16 miles south-southeast of Mora, and 12 miles west of Rush City. History A post office called Braham has been in operation since 1891. The city was named by railroad officials. Pie Day Every year on the first Friday in August, the people of Braham celebrate ''Pie Day''. This celebration includes craft sales, music, food stands, games, and entertainment, and various types of pie. Braham was declared the Pie Capital of Minnesota by former Governor Rudy Perpich in 1990. Braham became famous for its pie in the 1930s and 1940s when Minnesotans would take the "shortcut to Duluth through Braham." On April 11, 2021, Daunte Wright, a 20-year-old Black man, was fatally shot by police officer Kimberly Potter during a traffic stop and attempted arrest for an outstanding warrant in Brooklyn Center, Minnesota, United States. Tony Cornish (born May 3, 1951) is a retired American police officer and former politician from the Republican Party. He was a member of the Minnesota House of Representatives. He resigned in disgrace from the Minnesota House on November 30, 2017, following multiple accusations of sexual harassment. Jason Mark Lewis (born September 23, 1955) is an American politician and former conservative radio personality who served as the U.S. representative for Minnesota's 2nd congressional district from 2017 until 2019. The district included most of the southern suburbs of the Twin Cities.
