Brian Bulgaç
Brian Bulgaç (born 7 April 1988) is a Dutch professional road bicycle racer, who rode most recently for . Career Duathlon Born in Amsterdam, Bulgaç started his sports career as a duathlete. He took part in several Junior European and World Championships, finishing three times in the top 20. The highlight of his duathlon career came in 2008 when he became third of Europe at the Under-23 European Duathlon Championships in Serres. He had a bright future ahead in the sport but due to an achilles tendon injury he was told by his physio therapist to just train on a bicycle for a while. His interest in cycling grew and by the time he was allowed to walk again he decided to focus on cycling. The Tour de Taiwan is an annual professional road bicycle racing stage race held in Taiwan since 1978, and has been part of the UCI Asia Tour since 2005. It has been classed a 2.1 category race for the first time in 2012. History The Tour de Taiwan was established by Giant Sports Foundation's founder, King Liu, in 1978. The first race began in Taipei, continued through Western Taiwan, Southern Taiwan, Eastern Taiwan, and finally ended in Taipei. History In 1995 Australian Bill Mitchell, a keen cyclist and professor of economics at the University of Newcastle, created the website titled "Bill’s Cycling Racing Results and News" after finding there was a need for fast-breaking news and race results in English-speaking countries. In 1999 Sydney-based publishing company Knapp Communications purchased the website from Mitchell, and in July 2007 they sold it to British publisher Future plc for £2.2m.
