Brian Benoit

Before playing in Dillinger, Brian played in Jesuit with eventual Converge bassist Nate Newton. Brian joined Dillinger Escape Plan prior to recording '' Calculating Infinity'' and performed on the EP ''Irony Is a Dead Scene'' and LP '' Miss Machine''. In late 2004, just after the release of '' Miss Machine'', Brian developed nerve damage in his left hand, which forced him to leave the band in 2005. He was replaced on tour by James Love and Jeff Tuttle, though Ben Weinman was the only guitar player on subsequent releases. Frontman Greg Puciato said that Brian still had a place in the band should he be able to return; he eventually did return for two of Dillinger's final three shows on December 27th and 28th, 2017. Mathcore
Mathcore is a subgenre of hardcore punk and metalcore influenced by post-hardcore, extreme metal and math rock that developed during the 1990s. Bands in the genre emphasize complex and fluctuant rhythms through the use of irregular time signatures, polymeters, syncopations and tempo changes. Early mathcore lyrics were addressed from a realistic worldview and with a pessimistic, defiant, resentful or sarcastic point of view. In the 1990s, the hardcore punk scene started to embrace extreme metal openly. It also started to become highly ideological, with most of the popular bands being part of subcultures. This led to bands such as Converge, Botch, Coalesce and The Dillinger Escape Plan to establish the genre. Greg Puciato
Gregory John Puciato (born March 27, 1980) is an American musician best known as the former lead vocalist and lyricist of the metalcore band the Dillinger Escape Plan. He is also the lead singer of the Black Queen and Killer Be Killed, in which he also plays guitar. In 2018, Puciato and visual artist Jesse Draxler co-founded the art collective and record label Federal Prisoner. Puciato is noted for the intensity of his live performances, wide vocal and stylistic range, outspoken views, and controversy stemming from his bands' performances and interviews. The Dillinger Escape Plan Members
The Dillinger Escape Plan (DEP) was an American metalcore band from Morris Plains, New Jersey. Formed in early 1997, the group originally featured vocalist Dimitri Minakakis, lead guitarist Ben Weinman, rhythm guitarist Derek Brantley, bassist and keyboardist Adam Doll, and drummer and keyboardist Chris Pennie. The group remained active until December 2017, at which point the lineup featured Weinman (the band's only constant member), bassist Liam Wilson (who replaced Doll in 2000), vocalist Greg Puciato (who replaced Minakakis in 2001), drummer Billy Rymer (who joined in 2009) and rhythm guitarist Kevin Antreassian (who joined in 2015). ''Discography'' is a compilation album by American rock band Jesuit. Released on April 12, 2011, through Magic Bullet Records, the album features every song recorded by the hardcore punk group during their tenure in the mid and late 1990s. Jesuit released a demo tape, two self-titled EPs, and a Black Sabbath cover before disbanding. In 2021, ''Discography'' was reissued by Dark Operative for Jesuit's 25th anniversary. Reception Shawn Macomber of '' Decibel'' magazine awarded the album a 9 out of 10 rating, describing it as "a beautifully remastered collection documenting the all-too-fleeting existence of one of the seminal bands that made post-post-hardcore's mid-'90s vicious turn so darkly exhilarating." Benjamin A. Weinman (born August 8, 1975) is an American musician, film composer, and music manager, most notable for being the lead guitarist and primary songwriter of the metalcore band The Dillinger Escape Plan. He was the founder and sole constant member through the band's career (1997–2017), and is currently playing rhythm guitar with the crossover thrash band Suicidal Tendencies and the progressive rock supergroup Giraffe Tongue Orchestra. Weinman was named one of SPIN Magazine's 100 Greatest Guitarists of All Time and one of the 20 Most Influential Metal Guitarists Of The Modern Era by VH1.
