Amit Breuer
Amit Breuer is a Canadian-Israeli documentary filmmaker and producer. She is the founder of Amythos Media, formerly known as Amythos Films. Early life Amit Breuer was born in Israel and received her Bachelor of Arts in general history of art from the Tel-Aviv University in 1983. Following her graduation, Breuer studied cinematography at Beit Tzvi Institute of Cinema, Ramat Gan. Career Breuer founded Amythos Films, an Israeli independent documentary production company, in 1993. In 2004, she moved to Toronto, Ontario, Canada and brought her company with her. The company was later renamed Amythos Media. Amythos Media has produced award-winning documentaries including Testimonies, St. Jean, On the Edge of Peace, The Guantanamo Trap, Sentenced to Marriage, Junction, Checkpoint, and Purity. Randall W. Breuer (born October 11, 1960) is a retired American professional basketball player who was selected by the Milwaukee Bucks in the first round (18th pick overall) of the 1983 NBA draft. A 7'3" center from the University of Minnesota, Breuer played in 11 NBA seasons from 1983 to 1994. He played for the Bucks, Minnesota Timberwolves, Atlanta Hawks and Sacramento Kings. Breuer's best year as a pro came during the 1987–88 season as a member of the Bucks, appearing in 81 games and averaging 12.0 points and 6.8 rebounds per game. In his career, he played in 681 games and scored a total of 4,599 points. On December 2 of that season, Breuer had arguably his best game as a Buck when he scored 33 points, grabbed 11 rebounds, and blocked 4 shots in a 115–105 loss against the Detroit Pistons. Peter Christian Breuer (19 May 1856, Cologne – 1 May 1930, Berlin) was a German sculptor. He was a professor at the Prussian Academy of Arts (later, the Academy of Arts, Berlin) and was considered to be one of the pioneers of modern sculpture in Germany. Mordechai Breuer ( he, מָרְדְּכַי בְּרוֹיֶאר; May 14, 1921 – February 24, 2007) was a German-born Israeli Orthodox rabbi. He was one of the world's leading experts on Tanakh (Hebrew Bible), and especially of the text of the Aleppo Codex. His first cousin was the historian also named Mordechai Breuer. Breuer was a great-grandson of Rabbi Samson Raphael Hirsch. Biography Mordechai Breuer was born in 1921 to Samson and Else Leah Breuer. His paternal grandfather was Rabbi Dr. Salomon Breuer, son-in-law of Rabbi Samson Raphael Hirsch. His mother died while Mordechai was a young child, and his father then married Agatha Jeidel. Marvin Howard "Baby Face" Breuer (April 29, 1914 – January 17, 1991) was a pitcher in Major League Baseball. He played for the New York Yankees from 1939 to 1943. In the 1941 World Series, Breuer came on as a reliever in the fifth inning of Game 4 to relieve Atley Donald, with the Yankees losing 4–3. Breuer pitched three scoreless innings, which enabled the Yankees to ultimately win the game on a passed ball by Mickey Owen. Breuer also pitched in the 1942 World Series, which the Yankees lost to the St. Louis Cardinals. Marcel Lajos Breuer ( ; 21 May 1902 – 1 July 1981), was a Hungarian-born modernist architect and furniture designer.
