Brentwood Secondary College is a co-educational, public high school, located in Glen Waverley, Victoria, Australia. Glen Waverley South Primary School adjoins the college, and they have their own oval, which is used for many sport activities such as cricket, soccer and Australian football. Brentwood County High School (colloquially referred to as BCHS) is a state-funded Academy (English school), academy (formerly a grammar school) located in the town of Brentwood, Essex. The school is a member of the Osborne Co-Operative Academies Trust and educates 842 students from East (London sub region), East London and South West Essex. Brentwood High School is a secondary school on Long Island in Brentwood, New York, on United States. It is one of the largest high schools in New York state. It is a part of the Brentwood Union Free School District. History 20th century The first class to graduate from Brentwood High School was the class of 1957. Before that, public school students in the district attended Bay Shore High School. Brentwood High School began with the Ross Building, with its tennis courts and state-of-the-art swimming pool. In 1961, Eugene G. Hoyt, then the District Principal, and Raymond Scheele of Hofstra University presented a plan for curriculum development to Dr. Meade of the Ford Foundation. On the basis of this work, the foundation awarded Brentwood High School (with Hofstra as the "cooperating university") a grant of more than $300,000 for curriculum development. Brentwood High School is a public high school located in Brentwood, Pennsylvania, outside of Pittsburgh, that serves students in grades 9 through 12. It is part of the Brentwood Borough School District. The school building also includes Brentwood Middle School, which houses the district's students in grades 6–8. History The high school first started in 1925 in the basement of the existing Elroy Elementary School and only taught the ninth grade. In 1932, a new high school was built alongside the current Brentwood Park. However, this was only one building. The building received its first addition in 1939 to accommodate the rapid increase in population. Another addition was completed in 1959, which offered more rooms and the school's first gymnasium. A new four-story building was constructed in 1971 that included a swimming pool and more classrooms. The building had its latest renovation in 1999 in which a new academic wing was constructed. History The school opened in 1982 to serve the rapidly growing population in the northern part of Williamson County and relieve overcrowding at Franklin High School.
