Breno Silva
Breno Thiago Gadelha Silva (born 1 November 1986), known as just Breno, is a Brazilian footballer. Biography Born in Recife, capital of Pernambuco state, Breno started his professional career at Clube Náutico Capibaribe. His father, Zé do Carmo ( ''pt''), is a former footballer. He extended his contract to 31 January 2008 in January 2005. He was loaned to Vasco, former club of his father in April but pre-matured in July. He then played 4 games in the Brazilian top division for Náutico. Breno then left for Portuguese First League in January 2008 on free transfer. He only played 3 times for Braga, all in the last rounds of 2007–08 season (round 28 to 30). Náutico also sued Braga for training compensation, which FIFA Dispute Resolution Chamber awarded Náutico eligible to receive €325,000. The Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS; french: Tribunal arbitral du sport, ''TAS'') is an international body established in 1984 to settle disputes related to sport through arbitration. Its headquarters are in Lausanne, Switzerland and its courts are located in New York City, Sydney, and Lausanne. Temporary courts are established in current Olympic host cities. The International Council of Arbitration for Sport (ICAS) was established simultaneously, and a single president presides over both bodies. 2010 Campeonato Brasileiro Série D
In 2010, the Campeonato Brasileiro Série D, the fourth division of the Brazilian League, will be contested for the second time in history. The competition has 40 clubs, four of which will eventually qualify to the Campeonato Brasileiro Série C to be contested in 2011. Competition format The 40 teams are divided in ten groups of 4, playing within them in a double round-robin format. The two best ranked in each group at the end of 6 rounds will qualify to the Second Stage, which will be played in home-and-away system. Winners advance to Third Stage along with the three losers with best record in previous stages. The Quarter-Final winners will be promoted to the Série C 2011. As there is no Série E, or Fifth Division, technically there will be no relegation. However, teams who were not promoted will have to re-qualify for Série D 2011 through their respective state leagues.
