Brendan Lemieux
Brendan Lemieux (born March 15, 1996) is an American-born Canadian professional ice hockey left winger for the Los Angeles Kings of the National Hockey League (NHL). The Buffalo Sabres selected Lemieux in the second round, 31st overall, of the 2014 NHL Entry Draft. He previously played for the Winnipeg Jets and New York Rangers. The son of former NHL player Claude Lemieux, Lemieux began playing hockey at a young age despite his father's wishes, and spent his minor ice hockey career in the Greater Toronto Hockey League and The Hill Academy. He agreed to spend two years with the Green Bay Gamblers of the United States Hockey League before attending the University of North Dakota, but abandoned both commitments after being drafted by the Barrie Colts of the Ontario Hockey League (OHL) in 2012. A pest in ice hockey is a player who attempts to antagonize opponent players either by physical play or verbal incitation. Pests employ legal, illegal, or borderline tactics to accomplish their goals. Some common tactics include trash talk or slashing and hooking while referees are not looking. They may employ the tactic of goading opponents into a fight but then backing off in order to draw a penalty against them. Some pests may not only use these tactics against opposing skaters, but opposing goaltenders as well. Kevin Hayes (ice Hockey)
Kevin Patrick Hayes (born May 8, 1992) is an American professional ice hockey player for the Philadelphia Flyers of the National Hockey League (NHL). Growing up in the Dorchester neighborhood of Boston, Hayes played hockey for the Noble and Greenough School before being drafted by the Chicago Blackhawks in the first round, 24th overall, of the 2010 NHL Entry Draft. Hayes chose to defer his professional career and followed his older brother Jimmy, playing four seasons with the Boston College Eagles. In his senior year, Hayes was selected for the All-Hockey East First Team and AHCA East First-Team All-American as a result of his play. Following his tenure at Boston College, Hayes signed his first professional contract with the New York Rangers in 2014 instead of the Blackhawks. The 2016–17 AHL season was the 81st season of the American Hockey League. The regular season began on October 14, 2016, and ended on April 15, 2017. The 2017 Calder Cup playoffs began on April 20, 2017. 2015–16 OHL Season
The 2015–16 OHL season was the 36th season of the Ontario Hockey League, in which twenty teams played 68 games each according to the regular season schedule, from September 2015 to March 2016. The Plymouth Whalers relocated to Flint and became the Flint Firebirds, playing at the Dort Federal Credit Union Event Center. The Belleville Bulls relocated to Hamilton and became the Hamilton Bulldogs, playing at FirstOntario Centre. The London Knights won the J.
