The Bremer River is a river that is a tributary of the Brisbane River, located in the Scenic Rim Region, Scenic Rim and Brisbane regions of South East Queensland, Australia. The -long Bremer River drains several Scenic Rim valleys in south-east Queensland, including the Fassifern Valley, with its drainage basin, catchment area covering approximately . Most valleys within the catchment have extensive river terraces. The Bremer River system is extremely degraded. Bremer River (South Australia)
The Bremer River, part of the lower Murray-Darling catchment, is a river that is located in the Adelaide Hills region in the Australian state of South Australia. Course and features The Bremer River rises on the eastern side of the Mount Lofty Ranges at an altitude of south of and flows generally south, joined by the Mount Barker Creek and Dawesley Creek, before emptying into Lake Alexandrina at the lower end of the Murray-Darling basin. The river descends over its course. The largest town in the catchment area is Mount Barker. Other towns include Nairne and Kanmantoo. Towns on the Bremer River itself include Harrogate, Callington and Langhorne Creek, where the floodwaters are used to irrigate the local vineyards. Bremer River is a river in Western Australia that rises near Jerramungup at the border of the Yilgarn plateau. The river flows in a generally south-easterly direction and the river valley becomes steadily deeper as the river approaches the coast, where it has eroded the Pallinup siltstone deposits that deposited over the underlying granite. The name Bremer River was first recorded in 1919 and is believed to come from the town of Bremer Bay that is located on the Wellstead estuary where the river flows into Bremer Bay. The river has two minor tributaries, Devil Creek and Lizzie Creek. About 80% of the catchment area has been cleared for agriculture, mostly for cropping and grazing.
