Songshan District, Taipei
Songshan District is a district of Taipei, Taiwan. The Songshan Airport and the Taipei Arena are located here. History Songshan was originally named Malysyakkaw, a lowland Ketagalan word meaning "Where the river twists". Its written form () was abbreviated () in 1815 during Qing rule. During Japanese rule (1895-1945), the area served as a prime tea-growing area in northern Taiwan. In 1920, the area's settlements were established as , Shichisei District, Taihoku Prefecture. The village, named after Matsuyama City in Japan, was incorporated into Taihoku City (modern-day Taipei) in 1938. HeySong Corporation
HeySong Corporation () is a well-known beverage producer in Taiwan. It was founded in 1925 as a family business, and later on grew into a large corporation. History The first chairman of the corporation, Chang Wen-chi (張文杞), founded “Jian Hsin Corporation Limited” (進馨商會) in 1925 with six of his cousins, when Taiwan was still under the Japanese rule, by buying a Japanese beverage producer in Taiwan named "Nikoniko" (Japanese: ニコニコ; Chinese: 尼可尼可). The company at first engaged in production of soda under the brands of "Fuji" (富士牌) and ramune under the brands of "Sanshou" (三手牌). The name "Fuji" is a Japanese word and meant the quality their products were as good as the Japanese ones. Paul Liao
Paul Liao (; 5 October 1949 – 20 May 2015) was a Taiwanese businessman. He was born in Keelung. Liao was the founder of the Breeze Group which was started as a metals trading company in 1975. He opened his first shopping mall, the Breeze Center, under the Breeze brand in 2001, and shortly afterward left the metals industry. He also owned the chain located in Taiwan. Liao was named Taiwan's #33 richest person by ''Forbes'' magazine in 2009 with a net worth of $670 million. By 2014, his holdings were valued at $800 million, but Liao's rank had dropped to #46. Liao, a black belt in taekwondo, died of lung cancer at Taipei Veterans General Hospital in Taipei on 20 May 2015. He was 65. Zhongxiao Fuxing (, formerly transliterated as Chunghsiao Fuhsing Station until 2003) is a metro station in Taipei, Taiwan served by Taipei Metro. It had a ridership of 20.688 million entries and exits in 2017. Station overview The station has both underground and elevated sections: two levels are underground (servicing Blue Line) and four levels above ground (servicing Brown Line).
