E-Zee Possee
E-Zee Possee were an English electronic music group, active between 1989 and 1991, made up of vocalists and musicians, and led by MC Kinky. She was a rapper and friend of Boy George, and E-Zee Possee were promoted by George's label, More Protein. Career Born Caron Geary, MC Kinky had previously collaborated with Boy George, in particular the toasting section of the original version of "Kipsy", which was included in George's second solo album, ''Tense Nervous Headache'' (1988). A different mix of that song, is contained in the four CD box set entitled '' Culture Club - Box Set'' (2002). Another collaboration between the female toaster and George was represented by the co-writing of "Generations Of Love", the opening track of George's fourth studio album, '' Jesus Loves You - The Martyr Mantras''. Deee-Lite was an American house and dance music group formed in New York City. The group's best-known single is "Groove Is in the Heart", which was released in 1990 from their debut studio album ''World Clique'' (1990), and was a top-ten hit in multiple countries. Shawn Lee (musician)
Shawn Lee (born 1963) is an American musician, producer, composer and multi-instrumentalist who currently lives in London, England. He is best known for his extensive work on the score for the acclaimed 2006 Rockstar Games video game '' Bully''. He is currently working on an upcoming album ''Janktone Productions'', composed primarily of cheap and fun home-made instruments, currently there is no definitive release date though. Career Shawn Lee was born to a mother of Lebanese and American Indian ancestry and a father of Irish American ancestry. Lee has relocated twice in pursuit of his career. He moved to Los Angeles in 1988 where he worked with The Dust Brothers and Jeff Buckley. The Official Charts (legal name: The Official UK Charts Company Limited) is a British inter-professional organization that compiles various "official" record charts in the United Kingdom, Ireland and France. In the United Kingdom, its charts include ones for singles, albums and films, with the data compiled from a mixture of downloads, purchases (of physical media) and streaming. The OCC produces its charts by gathering and combining sales data from retailers through market researchers Kantar, and claims to cover 99% of the singles market and 95% of the album market, and aims to collect data from any retailer who sells more than 100 chart items per week. Sly & Robbie
Sly and Robbie were a prolific Jamaican rhythm section and production duo, associated primarily with the reggae and dub genres. Drummer Sly Dunbar and bassist Robbie Shakespeare teamed up in the mid-1970s after establishing themselves separately in Jamaica as professional musicians. Shakespeare died in December 2021 following kidney surgery. Tara Cynara Newley (born 12 October 1963) is a British writer, broadcaster, and producer. Early life Newley is the daughter of actress Joan Collins and actor/composer/singer Anthony Newley. She is also the sister of Alexander Newley. She lived in Paris for two years to study at The American College in Paris, where her poetry and journalism was first publicised. She transferred to Boston University to study English, French, and Russian literature and poetry with Helen Vendler at Harvard University, Harvard. Early career Newley was a television presenter and recording artist in the early 1990s. She was signed to Boy George's More Protein label with Virgin Records, Virgin, and sang on the E-Zee Possee single "Breathing Is E-Zee", which went to No. 72 on the UK Singles Chart in 1991. Stax Records
Stax Records is an American record company, originally based in Memphis, Tennessee. Founded in 1957 as Satellite Records, the label changed its name to Stax Records in 1961. It also shared its operations with sister label Volt Records. Stax was influential in the creation of Southern soul and Memphis soul music. Stax also released gospel, funk, and blues recordings. Renowned for its output of blues music, the label was founded by two siblings and business partners, Jim Stewart and his sister Estelle Axton (STewart/AXton = Stax). It featured several popular ethnically integrated bands (including the label's house band, Booker T. & the M.G.'s) and a racially integrated team of staff and artists unprecedented in that time of racial strife and tension in Memphis and the South.
