"Breathing" is a single by Swiss extreme metal band Triptykon. Released on 17 March 2014 via Prowling Death Records/Century Media Records, it served as a teaser for their then-upcoming second full-length album, ''Melana Chasmata''. It contains two tracks that eventually would appear in the album, "Breathing" and "Boleskine House". Content Boleskine House is the name given to a manor in Scotland where famous occultist and founder of Thelema Aleister Crowley lived from 1899 to 1913. Triptykon
Triptykon is a Swiss extreme metal band from Zürich, formed in 2008 by Thomas Gabriel Fischer, founding member of the pioneering heavy metal bands Hellhammer, Celtic Frost and Apollyon Sun. History Fischer announced his departure from Celtic Frost in May 2008 and shortly afterwards revealed his new project would be entitled Triptykon. The name of the band is the Greek word for "triptych", and is aimed at stating that Triptykon is founding member Thomas Gabriel Fischer's third project after Hellhammer and Celtic Frost. The band logo is inspired by a writing pattern used during the time of the Weimar Republic. Aleister Crowley
Aleister Crowley (; born Edward Alexander Crowley; 12 October 1875 – 1 December 1947) was an English occultist, ceremonial magician, poet, painter, novelist, and mountaineer. Thelema () is a Western esoteric and occult social or spiritual philosophy and new religious movement founded in the early 1900s by Aleister Crowley (1875–1947), an English writer, mystic, occultist, and ceremonial magician. Boleskine House
The Boleskine House ( gd, Taigh Both Fhleisginn) is a manor on the south-east side of Loch Ness in the Scottish Highlands. It is notable for having been the home of author and occultist Aleister Crowley, and Led Zeppelin guitarist and producer Jimmy Page. It suffered significant fire damage in December 2015 and again in July 2019. The house is now being restored and construction work has started as of December 2019. The Boleskine House Foundation SCIO took over ownership of one part of the estate in 2019 in order to manage restoration efforts on the house. ''Melana Chasmata'' is the second full-length album by Swiss extreme metal band Triptykon, released through Prowling Death Records /Century Media Records on 14 April 2014 in Europe and on 15 April 2014 in North America. The album was officially announced on 22 October 2013 by the band's frontman, Thomas Gabriel Fischer (a.k.a. "Tom Warrior"), on his official blog. The title is in Greek (''Μελανά Χάσματα'') and, according to Fischer, it can be roughly translated as "black, deep depressions/valleys" — or, more literally, "chasms as lack asink". The album's artwork was provided by famous Surrealist painter H. R. Giger.
