Jazz is a music genre that originated in the African-American communities of New Orleans, Louisiana in the late 19th and early 20th centuries, with its roots in blues and ragtime. The Zimbo Trio is a Brazilian instrumental ensemble, established in 1964 in São Paulo, and originally comprising Amilton Godoy (piano), Luís Chaves ( bass) and Rubinho Barsotti (drums). The Trio was one of the most influential groups of Brazilian music in the second half of the 20th century.
