Many songs are used to express and love of Brazilians for football and commemorate the country's victories into the FIFA World Cup. It is a soft samba composed and written by Luis Bandeira, famous for his frevo compositions for Carnival in Pernambuco. The 1990 FIFA World Cup was the 14th FIFA World Cup, a quadrennial football tournament for men's senior national teams.
