Brat Pack (band)
The Brat Pack was a vocal duo hailing from New Jersey, US. Its members were Patrick Donovan (born July 26, 1958, in Passaic, New Jersey) and Ray Ray Frazier. Donovan had been the guitarist for house/gospel artists CeCe Rogers and Curtis Hairston. Ray Ray was keyboard player and vocalist in various New York City bands. The Brat Pack were produced by Robert Clivillés and David Cole, who became the multi-platinum founders of C+C Music Factory. They began as a house music club act, and after success with their first single, Clivillés and Cole felt that they had pop-crossover appeal. They toured the UK and the US extensively and made many television appearances, including ''Soul Train'', '' Club MTV'', and the UK television dance show ''The Hitman and Her''. Soul Train
''Soul Train'' is an American musical variety television show. It aired in syndication from October 2, 1971, to March 25, 2006. Across its 35-year history the show primarily featured performances by R&B, soul, and hip hop artists. The series was created by Don Cornelius, who also served as its first host and executive producer. Production was suspended following the 2005–2006 season, with a rerun package under the moniker ''The Best of Soul Train'' airing for two years subsequently. As a nod to ''Soul Train''s longevity, the show's opening sequence during later seasons contained a claim that it was the "longest-running first-run, nationally syndicated program in American television history", with over 1,100 episodes produced from the show's debut through the 2005–2006 season. ''The Hitman and Her'' is a British television dance music programme hosted by Pete Waterman and Michaela Strachan. The programme was produced for Granada Television and ran from September 1988 until December 1992 on ITV's Night Network. The show toured various nightclubs, broadcasting the music and dancing at the club. The programme was often recorded on a Saturday night, edited on-the-fly, and shown a few hours later in the early hours of Sunday morning. David Cole (record Producer)
David Byron Cole (June 3, 1962 – January 24, 1995) was an American songwriter and record producer. Cole was one half of the dance-music duo C+C Music Factory, which he founded with his musical partner Robert Clivillés. Robert Clivillés and David Cole also produced various hits for other artists such as Mariah Carey, Aretha Franklin, James Brown, Lisa Lisa and Cult Jam, Deborah Cooper, and many others. After Cole's death in 1995, Robert Clivillés continued to keep C+C Music Factory going through his own production work.
