Brasilis Futebol Clube, more commonly referred to as Brasilis, is a Brazilian football club based in Águas de Lindoia, São Paulo. Currently, the club's senior team is inactive and has not participated in any professional matches since 2020. History Brasilis Futebol Clube was founded on 1 January 2007 by Oscar Bernardi (who is also the owner of the club), a former defender who had great spells in Ponte Preta, São Paulo and the Brazil national team, including being one of the captains of the national team in the 1982 World Cup in Spain. In the same year of 2007, the team disputes its first professional competition: the Segunda Divisão (equivalent to the fourth division) of the Paulista Championship, being eliminated in the 1st phase. The following year he competed again in the competition, falling this time in the 2nd phase. Águas De Lindoia
Águas de Lindoia (''Lindoia Waters'') is a Brazilian municipality of the state of São Paulo. The population is 18,808 (2020 est.) in an area of 60.1 km2. It is a tourist spot in part due to its hot springs, being part of the ''Circuito das Águas'', also including the cities of Amparo, Jaguariúna, Lindoia, Monte Alegre, Pedreira, Serra Negra and Socorro. History Before the 20th-century, the location was only known by adventurers who crossed the woods searching for gold. Having contracted diseases during their journeys, these adventurers found the cure in the warm waters that flowed from the mountains. Oscar Bernardi
José Oscar Bernardi (born 20 June 1954), known as Oscar, is a Brazilian former association footballer who played as a defender. He notably represented the Brazil national football team at international level, and played as a starter in defence at the 1978 and 1982 FIFA World Cups, while he was a reserve in 1986. He was capped almost 60 times for Brazil between April 1978 and May 1986, and scored two goals. At club level, he played for São Paulo and Ponte Preta in Brazil. Oscar also played for American side New York Cosmos in 1980 and Japanese team Nissan FC between 1987 and 1989. After his professional retirement, he coached several football clubs in Japan and Brazil. He now runs an athletic training center in Monte Sião, Minas Gerais.
