Branson Airport is a public use airport located eight nautical miles (15 km) south-southeast of the central business district of Branson, a city in Taney County, Missouri, United States. Branson Airport, LLC is a private company operating the airport through an operating agreement with The Branson Regional Airport Transportation District. The airport is owned by Taney County, MO. Branson, Missouri
Branson is a city in the U.S. state of Missouri. Most of the city is situated in Taney County, with a small portion in the west extending into Stone County. Branson is in the Ozark Mountains. The community was named after Reuben Branson, postmaster and operator of a general store in the area in the 1880s. The population was 12,638 at the 2020 census. Branson has long been a popular destination for vacationers from Missouri and around the country. Orange Air, LLC was an American charter airline that began service in 2014. It was based at Orlando Sanford International Airport and was headquartered on the grounds of the airport. History Orange Air began operating sports charters in late 2014. It began its first public charter service in May 2015 operating for Branson Air Express on a Cincinnati-Branson-New Orleans-Cancún routing. On October 5, 2015, the Cincinnati leg was terminated, and the Branson-New Orleans-Cancun portion of the route was transferred to Elite Airways. Orange announced on October 15, 2015, that it would be adding the Boeing 737-800 to start replacing their MD-80s and also to add more seats. The number of orders was not announced. Branson AirExpress
FlyBranson Travel, LLC, branded as Branson Air Express, is a defunct air travel marketing brand, based at Branson Airport near Branson, Missouri. It commenced operations in the fall of 2009. From that date until October 31, 2010, flights were operated by ExpressJet Airlines utilizing two Embraer EMB-145 regional jets. Beginning on November 1 all flights began to be operated by Vision Airlines using two Dornier 328 turboprops. For 2011, the scaled back service was operated by a single Corporate Flight Management BAe Jetstream 41. Much like Southern Skyways or Direct Air, Branson AirExpress uses the air carrier services of DOT and FAA certificated airlines, but does not have any aircraft upon its own air carrier operating certificate. Canadair CRJ
The Bombardier CRJ100 and CRJ200 (previously Canadair CRJ100 and CRJ200) is a regional jet designed and manufactured by Bombardier Aerospace between 1991 and 2006, the first of the Bombardier CRJ family. The ''Canadair Regional Jet'' (CRJ) program, derived from the Challenger 600 business jet, was launched in early 1989. The first CRJ100 prototype made its maiden flight on 10 May 1991. Canada's first jet airliner to enter commercial service was introduced by launch customer Lufthansa in 1992. The 50 seat aircraft is powered by two GE CF34 turbofans, mounted on the rear fuselage. The CRJ200 has more efficient turbofan engines for lower fuel consumption, increased cruise altitude and speed. During the late 1990s, it was stretched into the CRJ700 series. Buzz Airways was a virtual passenger airline that commenced operations on June 12, 2014 out of Branson Airport in Branson, Missouri, United States. Flights were operated as public charters operated by Corporate Flight Management utilizing Jetstream 41 aircraft. Corporate Flight Management previously operated service to Branson under the Branson Air Express banner. Buzz Airways service resumed on May 8, 2015 to Austin and Chicago from Branson.
