Orange Air
Orange Air, LLC was an American charter airline that began service in 2014. It was based at Orlando Sanford International Airport and was headquartered on the grounds of the airport. History Orange Air began operating sports charters in late 2014. It began its first public charter service in May 2015 operating for Branson Air Express on a Cincinnati-Branson-New Orleans-Cancún routing. On October 5, 2015, the Cincinnati leg was terminated, and the Branson-New Orleans-Cancun portion of the route was transferred to Elite Airways. Orange announced on October 15, 2015, that it would be adding the Boeing 737-800 to start replacing their MD-80s and also to add more seats. The number of orders was not announced. Orange Air said that the Boeing 737 is the industry leading aircraft, is fuel efficient and is happy to operate the aircraft. However, Orange Air never took delivery of any 737s. Orlando Sanford International Airport
Orlando Sanford International Airport is in Sanford, Florida, United States, near Orlando. It was built as Naval Air Station Sanford, a Master Jet Base for carrier-based attack and reconnaissance aircraft, and was used by the U.S. Navy until 1969. The airport is owned and operated by the Sanford Airport Authority. It is a base for Allegiant Air. Sanford is Orlando's secondary commercial airport, but is farther away from downtown Orlando and Walt Disney World than the primary airport, Orlando International Airport (MCO/KMCO). Because of the affiliation with Orlando, passenger traffic at Sanford was once dominated by European charter services. Sanford is a city in the central region of the U.S. state of Florida and the county seat of Seminole County. As of the 2020 census, its population was 61,051. Branson Air Express
FlyBranson Travel, LLC, branded as Branson Air Express, is a defunct air travel marketing brand, based at Branson Airport near Branson, Missouri. It commenced operations in the fall of 2009. From that date until October 31, 2010, flights were operated by ExpressJet Airlines utilizing two Embraer EMB-145 regional jets. Beginning on November 1 all flights began to be operated by Vision Airlines using two Dornier 328 turboprops. For 2011, the scaled back service was operated by a single Corporate Flight Management BAe Jetstream 41. Much like Southern Skyways or Direct Air, Branson AirExpress uses the air carrier services of DOT and FAA certificated airlines, but does not have any aircraft upon its own air carrier operating certificate.
