Brandon Buck
Brandon Buck (born August 16, 1988) is a Canadian former professional ice hockey Forward player who is currently retired. He most recently played under contract for the then Thomas Sabo Ice Tigers of the Deutsche Eishockey Liga (DEL). Playing career Undrafted, Buck played major junior hockey with the Guelph Storm of the Ontario Hockey League. On June 14, 2011 Buck left North America and pursued a European career, signing for Norwegian club, Sparta Warriors of the GET-ligaen. He previously played in the American Hockey League with the Norfolk Admirals and the Houston Aeros. As a free agent on, July 6, 2012, Buck signed for Croatian team, KHL Medveščak Zagreb, who competed in their last season in Austrian Hockey League that season. At the conclusion of the season in Austria on April 19, 2013, Buck and his teammate, Kyle Greentree from KHL Medveščak, moved to the Swiss National League B with EHC Basel. Norfolk Admirals (AHL)
The Norfolk Admirals were a professional ice hockey team that played in the American Hockey League. They became affiliated with the Anaheim Ducks after being dropped from the Tampa Bay Lightning following their 2012 AHL championship season. The Admirals played in Norfolk, Virginia at the Norfolk Scope. For the 2015–16 season, the Admirals moved to San Diego, California to become the newest version of the San Diego Gulls as part of the AHL's efforts to create a Pacific Division. Guelph Storm
The Guelph Storm are a major junior ice hockey team based in Guelph, Ontario, Canada. They have played in the OHL since the 1991–92 season. The team plays home games at the Sleeman Centre. History The franchise started as the Toronto Marlboros, who moved to Hamilton to become the Dukes of Hamilton in 1989. Following the 1990–91 season, the franchise was relocated to Guelph and a contest was held to name the team. Tom Douglas submitted the winning entry "Storm" and the team was renamed the Guelph Storm. The first year in Guelph was dismal, but the building process for Guelph was soon successful. The Storm finished first place in the 1994–95 season. General Manager Mike Kelly was voted the OHL Executive of the Year and Craig Hartsburg voted the Coach of the Year for the Canadian Hockey League and the Ontario Hockey League. Deutschland Cup
The Deutschland Cup is an in-season international ice hockey tournament hosted by the German Ice Hockey Federation which has been contested in most years since 1987. Early years (1987–1997) In 1987, the German Ice Hockey Federation created the Deutschland Cup as an official international tournament. Stuttgart served as a site for the first years of the tournament, with at least one game taking place in the Baden-Württemberg capital every year through 1996, except 1991, when the tournament was played at the Eissporthalle Frankfurt. National League (ice Hockey)
The National League (NL) is a professional ice hockey league in Switzerland and is the top tier of the Swiss league system. Prior to the 2017–18 season, the league was known as National League A. During the 2018–19 season, the league had an average of 6,949 spectators per game which is the highest among European leagues (ahead of the KHL with 6,397 and the DEL with 6,215). National League B
The Swiss League is the second tier of the main professional ice hockey league in Switzerland, behind the National League. The winners of the league each season plays a best-of-seven series against the bottom team of the NL, and if they win, they are promoted, while the National League team is relegated to the Swiss League. Kyle Greentree
Kyle Greentree (born November 15, 1983) is a Canadian former professional ice hockey player. An undrafted player, he previously played two games each for the Philadelphia Flyers and Calgary Flames of the National Hockey League (NHL). Playing career Greentree began playing collegiate hockey for the Alaska Fairbanks Nanooks during the 2004-05 season after playing for two seasons with the Victoria Salsa in the British Columbia Hockey League. He led his team in points for all three seasons he played there and got his number retired by the club. Following his junior season, on March 14, 2007, Greentree decided to forgo his senior season and signed an entry-level contract with the Philadelphia Flyers. The American Hockey League (AHL) is a professional ice hockey league based in the United States and Canada that serves as the primary Minor league#Ice hockey, developmental league for the National Hockey League (NHL).
