BrainsWay () is an international company that is engaged in the development of a medical device that uses H-coil for deep transcranial magnetic stimulation (Deep TMS) as a non-invasive treatment for major depressive disorder, depression, obsessive-compulsive disorder, OCD, and smoking addiction. Transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS) is a noninvasive form of brain stimulation in which a changing magnetic field is used to induce an electric current at a specific area of the brain through electromagnetic induction. An electric pulse generator, or stimulator, is connected to a magnetic coil connected to the scalp. Abraham Zangen
Abraham Zangen ( he, אברהם צנגן, born 1969) is an Israeli professor of neuroscience, head of the brain stimulation and behavior lab and chair of the psychobiology brain program at Ben-Gurion University of the Negev (BGU). Biography Abraham Zangen was born in Ramat Gan, Israel. He earned his B.Sc. in pharmacology from the Hebrew University and his PhD from the Bar Ilan University in Israel in 1999. He then did a postdoc at the U.S. National Institutes of Health (NIH) until 2003. In 2003, he returned to Israel and established a laboratory at the Weizmann Institute of Science in Rehovot, attaining the rank of associate professor in 2010. In 2012, he joined the faculty of Ben Gurion University of the Negev and was made a full professor in 2015. Zangen is married to Rachel, with whom he has six children.
