Brad Singleton
Bradley Singleton (born 29 October 1992) is an Ireland international rugby league footballer who plays as a and for the Wigan Warriors in the Betfred Super League. He has previously played for the Leeds Rhinos in the Super League and spent time on loan from Leeds at the Dewsbury Rams, Hunslet Hawks and Featherstone Rovers in the Championship, and the Wakefield Trinity Wildcats in the Super League. Singleton has also played for the Toronto Wolfpack in the top tier. Background Singleton was born in Barrow-in-Furness, Cumbria, England. Barrow-in-Furness
Barrow-in-Furness is a port town in Cumbria, England. Historically in Lancashire, it was incorporated as a municipal borough in 1867 and merged with Dalton-in-Furness Urban District in 1974 to form the Borough of Barrow-in-Furness. In 2023 the borough will merge with Eden and South Lakeland districts to form a new unitary authority; Westmorland and Furness. At the tip of the Furness peninsula, close to the Lake District, it is bordered by Morecambe Bay, the Duddon Estuary and the Irish Sea. The Salford Red Devils are a professional rugby league club in Salford, Greater Manchester, England, who play in the Super League. The 2017 Rugby League World Cup was the fifteenth staging of the Rugby League World Cup tournament and took place in Australia, New Zealand and Papua New Guinea between 27 October and 2 December 2017. Magic Weekend
The Magic Weekend (known as the Dacia Magic Weekend for sponsorship reasons) is an annual event organised by the Rugby Football League in which an entire round of Super League matches is played over a weekend at a single stadium to promote the sport of rugby league. The first event was held at the Millennium Stadium in Cardiff in 2007, and subsequent events have taken place at Murrayfield Stadium, Edinburgh; the Etihad Stadium, Manchester; St James' Park, Newcastle, and Anfield, Liverpool. 2021 Super League Season
Super League XXVI, known as the Betfred Super League XXVI for sponsorship reasons, was the 26th season of the Super League and 127th season of rugby league in Great Britain. The 2021 season was originally scheduled to begin on 11 March 2021, however, on 14 January 2021, it was announced that all clubs had agreed to push the start date back by two weeks, to increase the chances of fans being able to attend matches. St Helens are the reigning champions going into Super League XXVI, after successfully retaining their title against Wigan Warriors, in the Grand Final. Castleford Tigers
The Castleford Tigers are a professional rugby league club in Castleford, West Yorkshire, England, that compete in the Super League, the top-level professional rugby league club competition in the Northern Hemisphere. Leeds Rhinos became champions for a record 8th time after beating Castleford Tigers 24–6 in front of a sell out crowd of 72,827. Old Trafford () is a football stadium in Old Trafford, Greater Manchester, England, and the home of Manchester United.
