Božidar Finka
Božidar Finka (19 December 1925 – 17 May 1999) was a Croatian linguist, lexicographer and member of the Croatian Academy of Sciences and Arts Life and education Božidar Finka was born in Sali on 19 December 1925. In 1947 he finished high school in Split. In 1960 he graduated in Slavic Studies with the dissertation "Dugootočki Čakavski govori". Finka spent most of his scientific career working at the Institute of Croatian Language and Linguistics, serving as its director from 1973–77. He was a full member of the Croatian Academy of Sciences and Arts since 1988. Works Finka's most significant work was in the fields of Croatian and Slavic dialectology and toponymy. Milan Moguš
Milan Moguš (; 27 April 1927 – 19 November 2017) was a Croatian linguist and academician. Biography He was born in Senj, where he finished primary school and high school. In the academic year 1948/49 he attended in Faculty of Philosophy in Zagreb (VIII. group: people's language and literature) and he graduated in 1953. In the same year he was elected as assistant to the academy's Institute for Language, and in 1956 he performed the same duties at the Faculty of Philosophy at University in Zagreb in the Department for Dialectology and History of Croatian. From 1961 until 1963 he was a lecturer in Croatian at University of Warsaw. He got his doctorate of philology sciences in 1962 at University in Zagreb. In 1964 he became docent, in 1969 he was associate professor, and in 1975 he was full professor at the university. Stjepan Babić
Stjepan Babić (29 November 1925 – 27 August 2021) was a Croatian linguist and academic. Biography Babić was born in the small town of Oriovac in Brod-Posavina County, even though his biological parents are from Hrvatsko Zagorje. He attended primary school in Oriovac, and gymnasium in Slavonski Brod, Osijek and finally in Zagreb. In 1948 he got employed in Industrogradnja, soon after the political winds threw him to Petrinjska prison. After Petrinjska he enrolled to Faculty of Philosophy at the University of Zagreb in 1949, graduating in 1955 Croatian, Russian and German. Afterwards he remained working as an assistant at the Faculty of Philosophy, defending his Ph.D. in 1962 and receiving full professorship in 1975. He was the vice-president of Matica hrvatska from 1989 to 1992, and representative in the ''Županijski Dom'' (Chamber of the Counties) from 1993 to 1997. He retired as professor in 1991.
