Boys Club (duo)
Boys Club was a pop duo consisting of Gene Hunt and Joe Pasquale from Minneapolis, Minnesota and was created and put together by Don Hunter Powell. They had a big hit with "I Remember Holding You" in 1989, which peaked at #8 on the U.S. ''Billboard'' Hot 100. Throughout the greater part of Minnesota, Boys Club was also regarded as "Minnesota's version of Wham!". "I Remember Holding You" was their only song to reach the ''Billboard'' Hot 100, making them a one-hit wonder. Their second single, "The Loneliest Heart" peaked at #39 on the US Adult Contemporary chart a few months after "I Remember Holding You" had peaked at #4 on the same chart. The ''Billboard'' Hot 100 is the music industry standard record chart in the United States for songs, published weekly by '' Billboard'' magazine. Chart rankings are based on sales (physical and digital), radio play, and online streaming in the United States. The weekly tracking period for sales was initially Monday to Sunday when Nielsen started tracking sales in 1991, but was changed to Friday to Thursday in July 2015. This tracking period also applies to compiling online streaming data. Wham! (briefly known in the US as Wham! U.K.) were an English pop duo formed in Bushey in 1981. The duo consisted of George Michael and Andrew Ridgeley. A one-hit wonder or viral hit is any entity that achieves mainstream popularity, often for only one piece of work, and becomes known among the general public solely for that momentary success. The term is most commonly used in regard to music performers with only one hit single that overshadows their other work. Some artists dubbed "one-hit wonders" in a particular country have had great success in other countries. Music artists with subsequent popular albums and hit listings are typically not considered a one-hit wonder. ''The Mickey Mouse Club'' is an American variety television show that aired intermittently from 1955 to 1996 and returned to social media in 2017. Eugene Wolfgramm
Eugene Joseph Wolfgramm, a.k.a. Gene Hunt (born September 24, 1967), is a founding member of the Minneapolis-based group The Jets. Like the other Wolfgramms, Eugene is a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Biography Eugene is one of seventeen siblings in the Wolfgramm family, eight of whom were originally in The Jets. Eugene was featured on the first two Jets albums (1985's '' The Jets'', 1986's '' Christmas with The Jets'', and was featured in the single and music video to 1987's " Cross My Broken Heart" from the ''Beverly Hills Cop II'' soundtrack, but left the group in 1987 to form the duo Boys Club, with Joe Pasquale.
