''Boy in Waiting'' is an EP by English alternative rock band Starsailor, released on 3 December 2008 as a Free Digital Download worldwide for those who pre-ordered the Deluxe edition of their album All the Plans through Starsailor.net. It features some of the tracks which did not make it onto ''All the Plans''. Track listing Starsailor.net confirmed four songs for ''Boy In Waiting'' one day before the release. Starsailor (band)
Starsailor are an English post-Britpop band, formed in 2000. Since their formation the band has included guitarist and vocalist James Walsh, drummer Ben Byrne, bassist James Stelfox and keyboardist Barry Westhead. They are best known for their 2003 single " Silence Is Easy" which reached number 9 in the UK. The band has released five studio albums, and have scored ten Top 40 hit singles in the UK. Their first album '' Love Is Here'' was released in 2001, followed by '' Silence Is Easy'' (2003) and '' On the Outside'' (2005). After the release of its fourth album ''All the Plans'' (2009), the band entered into extended hiatus until 2014, during which its members were involved in individual projects. Starsailor announced their reunion on 23 May 2014 and began performing worldwide. '' Good Souls: The Greatest Hits'' was released in September 2015, and featured two new songs. Virgin Records is a record label owned by Universal Music Group. Steve Osborne
Stephen John "Steve" Osborne (born 1963) is a British record producer, living in Bath, England. He has worked with a wide variety of musicians, including Suede, the B-52s, A-ha, New Order, Elbow, U2, Happy Mondays, Placebo, Gregory Porter, Doves, KT Tunstall, Vanessa Carlton, and Simple Minds. Career During the 1990s, Osborne was half of the Perfecto Records team, a production and remix collaboration with Paul Oakenfold; they worked with Happy Mondays, U2, and other artists. He and Oakenfold were part of the 1990s dance music act Grace which existed from 1994 to 1997. Osborne worked with Cat's Eyes on their critically acclaimed album, released in April 2011. At the 2012 Soundedit Festival in Poland, Osborne received the prestigious 'The Man with the Golden Ear' Award. ''On the Outside'' is the third studio album by British rock band Starsailor. The album was released on 17 October 2005. It was led by the first single, "In the Crossfire" on 3 October 2005. ''On the Outside'' has been certified Silver in the UK. The song "Jeremiah" was written about the death of Jeremiah Duggan, James Walsh having heard Duggan's mother talking about it on the radio. Reception ''On the Outside'' was met with generally favourable reviews from Music journalism, music critics. At Metacritic, which assigns a standard score, normalized rating out of 100 to reviews from mainstream publications, the album received an weighted arithmetic mean, average score of 64, based on ten reviews.
