Box Brown
Brian "Box" Brown (born Brian Brown in 1980) is an American cartoonist whose first work was the online comic ''Bellen!''. He was awarded in 2011 a Xeric Grant for the comic ''Love is a Peculiar Type of Thing''. In 2011, Brown started a Kickstarter fundraiser to create a new publisher called Retrofit Comics, with the goal of publishing 16 alternative comic books over 16 months. Since completing this goal, Retrofit Comics has continued to publish new comic books every month or two. Brown created a full-length graphic novel about the professional wrestler André the Giant called ''André the Giant: Life and Legend''. It debuted as ninth bestseller on the New York Times Bestseller List for Paperback Graphic Books and remained on the list for three weeks. In 2019, his book Is ''This Guy For Real? The Miami Book Fair is an annual two-day street fair and Book fair, literary festival organized by Miami Dade College. The fair brings over 300 national and international authors exhibitors to a weeklong gathering and includes pavilions for translation, comics, children, and young adults. André The Giant
André René Roussimoff (; 19 May 1946 – 28 January 1993), better known by his ring name André the Giant, was a French professional wrestler and actor. Roussimoff was known for his great size, which was a result of gigantism caused by excess growth hormone. It also led to him being called "The Eighth Wonder of the World". Beginning his career in 1966, Roussimoff relocated to North America in 1971. From 1973 to the mid-1980s, Roussimoff was booked by World Wide Wrestling Federation (WWWF) promoter Vincent J. A comic book, also called comicbook, comic magazine or (in the United Kingdom and Ireland) simply comic, is a publication that consists of comics art in the form of sequential juxtaposed panels that represent individual scenes. Panels are often accompanied by descriptive prose and written narrative, usually, dialogue contained in word balloons emblematic of the comics art form.
