Bourassa Royal
The Bourassa Royal or Le Royal de Bourassa is a Canadian ringette team in Canada's National Ringette League (NRL) which competes in the Eastern Conference in the White division. Founded in 2004 and based in Quebec, the team recruits players from Bourassa-Laval-Lanaudière. The team has been inactive in the recent years of the NRL. From its inaugural season in 2004 until the 2011–12 season, the team was called the BLL Nordiques after which it became "Bourassa Royal". Team history The Bourassa Royal have played in the National Ringette League since its formation in 2004. For several years, the name of the team was BLL Nordiques. BLL is the acronym for Bourassa-Laval-Lanaudière area in Quebec. For the 2011-12 season, the BLL Nordiques team became renamed, Bourassa Royal (short for Le Royal de Bourassa). The National Ringette League (NRL), ''(french: Ligue Nationale de Ringuette, LNR)'', is the premier sports league for the sport of ringette in North America and Canada's national league for elite ringette players aged 18+. All of the NRL's elite athletes are women, one of ringette's distinctive features. The Atlantic Attack are a ringette team in the Canadian National Ringette League (NRL) that mostly consists of players from Atlantic Canada. The team competes in the Eastern Conference in the White division and was founded in 2011. The team's home arena is in Cocagne, New Brunswick. In their 7th season, the Atlantic Attack won their first National Ringette League Playoff title. Team history The Attack's inaugural season was in 2011–12. The first team roster was announced on September 21, 2011 and their first game in the league was played on October 15, 2011 against Gatineau Fusion. The first game in their home arena in Cocagne was played on February 5, 2012, against Le Royal de Bourassa.
