Bothnian Highway
The Finnish national road 67 ( fi, kantatie 67; sv, stamväg 67) is the 2nd class main route from Kaskinen to Nurmo, which belongs to Seinäjoki. The road is 115 kilometers long and is mainly two-lane, except for the center of Seinäjoki, where the road is four-lane. The road is for the most part of good quality, in some places even highway, and its traffic volumes are quite variable. In the 1996 road number reform, the main road section between Seinäjoki and Ytterjeppo was changed to Highway 19 and main road 67 was shortened to end at Seinäjoki. At the same time, however, the road continued from its western end to continue to Kaskinen. Kaskinen (; sv, Kaskö) is a town, municipality and island of Finland. It is located in the province of Western Finland and is part of the Ostrobothnia region. Seinäjoki
Seinäjoki (; "Wall River"; la, Wegelia, formerly sv, Östermyra) is a city located in South Ostrobothnia, Finland; east of Vaasa, north of Tampere, west of Jyväskylä and southwest of Oulu. Seinäjoki originated around the Östermyra bruk iron and gunpowder factories founded in 1798. Seinäjoki became a municipality in 1868, market town in 1931 and town in 1960. In 2005, the municipality of Peräseinäjoki was merged into Seinäjoki, and in the beginning of 2009, the neighbouring municipalities of Nurmo and Ylistaro were consolidated with Seinäjoki. Seinäjoki is one of the fastest growing regional centers in Finland. The city hall, city library, Lakeuden Risti Church and other public buildings were designed by Alvar Aalto. Nurmo is a former municipality of Finland. It was consolidated, together with Ylistaro to Seinäjoki on 1 January 2009. It is located in the province of Western Finland and is part of the Southern Ostrobothnia region. The municipality had a population of 12,378 (15 April 2007) and covered an area of of which is water. Finnish National Road 19
Finnish national road 19 ( fi, valtatie 19, sv, riksväg 19) is the Finnish highway leading from Kurikka, via Seinäjoki to Nykarleby. The length of the road is 121,4 kilometers. The road is a major transport intermediary in South and Central Ostrobothnia. The road belongs to the main roads defined by the Ministry of Transport and Communications. The road is mainly a good quality two-lane highway. Highway 19 passes through the following municipalities: Kurikka–Ilmajoki–Seinäjoki–Lapua–Kauhava–Nykarleby. It starts at Kurikka's Jalasjärvi, where it diverges from Highway 3 ( E12). The road runs in the area of Ilmajoki municipality and then past the city of Seinäjoki. From Seinäjoki, the road continues through the municipalities of Lapua and Kauhava to Ytterjeppo, Nykarleby, where it joins Highway 8 ( E8). Närpes
Närpes (; fi, Närpiö ) is a town and municipality of Finland. It is located in Western Finland and is part of the Ostrobothnia region. The town has a population of () and covers an area of of which is water. The population density is . Economically, the municipality is known for extensive greenhouse farming of tomatoes and manufacture of trailers for trucks. Närpes has been a bilingual municipality since 2016. Ilmajoki (; sv, Ilmola) is a municipality of Finland. Ilmajoki is a town and municipality situated in Finland's South Ostrobothnia region, founded in 1865. Ilmajoki has a population of 12,165 (28.
