Professional career Cincinnati Bengals Bostic was invited to attend mini camp with the Cincinnati Bengals in April 2010, Bostic never signed a free agent contract. Cincinnati Commandos In June 2010, Bostic signed with the Cincinnati Commandos, an indoor football team who played in the Continental Indoor Football League. Eugene Earl Bostic (April 25, 1913 – October 28, 1965) was an American alto saxophonist. Bostic's recording career was diverse, his musical output encompassing jazz, swing, jump blues and the post-war American rhythm and blues style, which he pioneered. He had a number of popular hits such as "Flamingo", "Harlem Nocturne", "Temptation", "Sleep", "Special Delivery Stomp", and "Where or When", which all showed off his characteristic growl on the horn. Jameson Bostic (born 29 January 1984) is an American professional boxer who now resides in Auckland, New Zealand. Bostic is a former OPBF light heavyweight champion and was ranked in the WBC after defeating WBC 13th-ranked Japanese boxer Yuzo Kiyota. In 2007, Bostic took on Don King as his manager, but the two split apart due to contractual issues and keeping Bostic inactive for over 13 months in 2008. Jeffrey Lynn Bostic (born September 18, 1958) is a former American football center who played for the Washington Redskins in the National Football League (NFL). College career A 1980 graduate of Clemson University, Bostic was named All-ACC in 1979 as an offensive lineman for the Tigers. James Edward Bostic (born March 13, 1972) is a former American football running back, who played college football at Auburn University. He also played for the Philadelphia Eagles in the National Football League (NFL) and the defunct XFL. Bostic played college football at Auburn University. During the 1993 season, he was the leading running back in the Southeastern Conference. In 1993 James led the Southeastern Conference with 1,205 yards in 199 attempts in 11 games. He averaged 6.1 YPC, scored 12 touchdown's, and averaged 109.6 YDSPG. He was drafted in the third round of the 1994 NFL Draft by the Los Angeles Rams, but never played for the team. William Keith Bostic (born January 17, 1961) is a former professional American football player who played for seven seasons in the National Football League (NFL). During his career he played safety for the Houston Oilers and the Cleveland Browns. Bostic served as the Oiler defensive captain under Jerry Glanville. He earned one Pro Bowl selection and missed another based on a tiebreaker for the last safety chosen. In his Pro Bowl season, he led the American Football Conference in interceptions. Keith Bostic is an American software engineer and one of the key people in the history of Berkeley Software Distribution (BSD) Unix and open-source software. In 1986, Bostic joined the Computer Systems Research Group (CSRG) at the University of California, Berkeley. He was one of the principal architects of the Berkeley 2BSD, 4.4BSD and 4.4BSD-Lite releases. Among many other tasks, he led the effort at CSRG to create a free software version of BSD Unix, which helped allow the creation of FreeBSD, NetBSD and OpenBSD. Bostic was a founder of Berkeley Software Design Inc. (BSDi), which produced BSD/OS, a proprietary version of BSD.
