Bosaina
Bosaina is an Egyptian singer, songwriter, producer, art curator, actress, and occasional model best known as the lead vocalist for a number of bands in the Kairo is Koming collective, including Wetrobots, Zuli and Quit Together. She has also pursued a solo project and participated in the Red Bull Music Academy in Tokyo in 2014, and starred in Touchstone Pictures’ first Disney film in the Middle East, The United. Career Bosaina has performed with a number of Cairo-based electronic bands, including Wetrobots, ZULI and Quit Together, through her involvement with the groundbreaking Kairo Is Koming collective. Her shows with the collective are often noted for their electric energy, The Guardian stating that her "post-punk party girl attitude, which blends magically with head-banging blonde locks, high-kicks, and catsuits to create a dizzying spell". The United
''The United'' (Arabic: المتحدين) is an unreleased film produced by Touchstone Pictures. It was conceived as Disney's first ever Arabic-language film, intended primarily for Middle Eastern audiences. Sampler (musical Instrument)
A sampler is an electronic or digital musical instrument which uses sound recordings (or " samples") of real instrument sounds (e.g., a piano, violin, trumpet, or other synthesizer), excerpts from recorded songs (e.g., a five-second bass guitar riff from a funk song) or found sounds (e.g., sirens and ocean waves). The samples are loaded or recorded by the user or by a manufacturer. Red Bull Music Academy
The Red Bull Music Academy (RBMA) is a world-traveling series of music workshops and festivals that was founded in 1998 by Red Bull GmbH. The main five-week event is held in a different city each year. The public portion of its program is a festival of concerts, art installations, club nights and lectures by influential figures in contemporary music. The other part of the program is by invitation only and is held in a building that has been custom-fitted with a large recording studio, a lecture hall, a radio booth and 8–12 bedroom-sized studios. South by Southwest, abbreviated as SXSW and colloquially referred to as South By, is an annual conglomeration of parallel film, interactive media, and music festivals and conferences organized jointly that take place in mid-March in Austin, Texas, United States.
