Borteyman
Borteyman is a community in the Kpone Katamanso district in the Greater Accra region of Ghana. Facilities Sports complex It is the location of the $145 million sports complex which would be used for the 2023 African Games which is known as the Borteyman Sports Complex. 2023 African Games
The 13th African Games is expected to be held in three cities in Ghana in 2024 on dates yet to be confirmed. This will be the second time in history that the games will be decentralized in a process that started in the previous edition held in Morocco. The three cities chosen for these functions are Accra, Kumasi, and Cape Coast. Bids * Accra, Ghana (elected) * Abuja, Nigeria * Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso Ghana won the rights to host the event in October 2018. In November 2021, Ghana signed an agreement with the African Union to host the event. Venues Plans to build a new stadium for the event were cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Kpone Katamanso Municipal District
Kpone-Katamanso Municipal District is one of the twenty-nine districts in Greater Accra Region, Ghana. Originally it was formerly part of the then-larger Tema Municipal District, which was created from the former Tema District Council, until the eastern portion of the district was split off to create Kpone-Katamanso District on 28 June 2012, which was established by Legislative Instrument (L.I.) 2031; thus the remaining part has been retained as Tema Metropolitan District. However on 15 March 2018, it was later elevated to municipal district assembly status to become Kpone-Katamanso Municipal District, which was established by Legislative Instrument (L.I.) 2271. Postal codes were adopted in Ghana on 18 October 2017, following the launch of the National Digital Address System. As a joint venture between Ghana Post (with support from the Government of Ghana]) and Vokacom Ltd as Ghana Post GPS, GhanaPost GPS, the Digital Address System assigned postal codes and unique addresses to every square in Ghana. Ghana's postal codes are alphanumeric. Badminton
Badminton is a racquet sport played using racquets to hit a shuttlecock across a net.
