Borneo SubOrbitals
Borneo SubOrbitals is a public-private spaceflight venture. Created in 2019, it is involving several tertiary institutions and a local social enterprise, which comprises Universiti Malaysia Sarawak (UNIMAS), University of Malaya (UM) and Universiti Teknologi Petronas (UTP), with collaboration of The Learning Curve, The Hills Lifestyle Community Lifestyle Hub and Strand Aerospace Malaysia. Overview Each party will be responsible for rocket research, design, assembly and launch. UTP will be handling with simulations and electronics design, while UM will be handling static and dynamic structural analysis and rocket material selection and UNIMAS will manufacture and assemble the rocket, with supervision and consultancy of Strand Aerospace Malaysia. Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS (UTP) is a Malaysian research university established 10 January 1997. It is wholly owned by Petroliam Nasional Berhad (PETRONAS), Malaysia's oil and gas multinational corporation. The campus is built on in the new township of Seri Iskandar, Perak, Malaysia. The Sultan Iskandar Planetarium ( ms, Planetarium Sultan Iskandar) is a planetarium in Kuching, Sarawak, Malaysia. It is also the first planetarium to be constructed in Malaysia. History The RM 3 million planetarium was constructed along with RM 30 million Kuching Civic Centre. It was officiated by Sultan Iskandar of Johor who was the then Yang di-Pertuan Agong of Malaysia on 19 January 1989 and was opened to the public on 1 March 1989.
