Leskovac (Serbian Cyrillic alphabet, Serbian Cyrillic: Лесковац, ) is a List of cities in Serbia, city and the administrative center of the Jablanica District in Southern Serbia (Geographical Region), southern Serbia. 2014–15 Serbian Cup
The 2014–15 Serbian Cup season was the ninth season of the Serbian national football tournament. The competition started on 3 September 2014 and concluded with the Final on 20 May 2015. The winner of the competition qualified for the 2015–16 UEFA Europa League. Calendar Preliminary round A preliminary round was held in order to reduce the number of teams competing in the next round to 32. It consisted of 4 single-legged ties (due to the fact that Smederevo was dissolved leaving a vacancy in the preliminary round), with a penalty shoot-out as the decider, if the score was tied after 90 minutes. History Serbia's cup tournament is the legal successor to the Serbia and Montenegro Cup and in turn of the Yugoslav Cup. This cup tournament lasted for four seasons up until the dissolution of the state union of Serbia and Montenegro in 2006. The tournament was dominated by Serbian clubs with no Montenegrin sides reaching the final. Belgrade giants Red Star were easily the most successful club reaching the final all four years winning twice and losing in the final the other two seasons. Surprisingly, Red Star's cross-town rival Partizan did not appear in a single final. The Serbian First League ( sr, Прва лига Србије / Prva liga Srbije), referred to as the Mozzart Bet First League ( sr, Моцарт Бет Прва лига / Mozzart Bet Prva liga) for sponsorship reasons, is the name for the second tier in professional Serbia's football league. The league was formed in 2005, following a reshuffle of the second tier Serbo-Montenegrin divisions. It is operated by the Football Association of Serbia. Format The league is usually formed by 16 clubs which play all against one another twice, once at home, once away.
