Dorret Boomsma
Dorret I. Boomsma (born 18 November 1957, Huizen, The Netherlands) is a Dutch biological psychologist specializing in genetics and twin studies. Rein Boomsma
Reinder ("Rein") Boomsma (19 June 1879 – 27 May 1943) was a Dutch footballer, who played for Sparta and the Dutch national team. Club career Boomsma was born in Schagen, North Holland in 1879, and moved to Rotterdam in 1888. He started to play football on the streets, where he was noticed by Kees van Hasselt. He joined Sparta sometime around 1895. He would remain with the club until his retirement from football in 1907. A year later, in 1908, he was made honorary member of the club. Boomsma scored the only goal for Sparta in the league game against reigning champions RAP of Amsterdam on 29 October 1899. The match was the first charity game in the Netherlands, held to support the Boer cause in the Second Boer War. The match grossed 1,201 guilders and 51.5 cents. International career Boomsma was also part of the first Neherlands national football team, that played against Belgium on 30 April 1905. Clifford David Boomsma
Clifford David Boomsma (20 October 1915 – 13 January 2004) was an Australian forester, botanist and botanical collector. Boomsma was born in Gawler in South Australia in 1915 and became a ward of the state at three years of age. He completed his early schooling in Mylor in the Adelaide hills He was later sponsored and attended high school at Scotch College as a boarder. Following graduation he attended Adelaide University completing a Bachelor of Science then went on to study Forestry at the Australian Forestry School, Canberra where he graduated in 1939. He worked at Penola forest and then at Mount Burr forests for the Department of Woods and Forests and was eventually posted to the Adelaide head office. Jacobus Jan "Koos" Boomsma (born 1951) is a Dutch evolutionary biologist who studies social evolution and the evolution of mating systems. Education Boomsma obtained an MSc and PhD degree in biology in 1976 and 1982 at the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam. Career Boomsma directs the Centre of Social Evolution and works as a professor of biology at the University of Copenhagen.
