Bonnie Doon Stop
Bonnie Doon stop is a tram stop under construction in the Edmonton Light Rail Transit network in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. It will serve the Valley Line, and is located on the west side of 83 Street, south of 84 Avenue, between Bonnie Doon and Idylwylde. The stop was scheduled to open in 2020; however, as of December 2022 the Valley Line had not opened and no definite opening date had been announced. Edmonton Light Rail Transit, commonly referred to as the LRT, is a light rail system in Edmonton, Alberta. Part of the Edmonton Transit Service (ETS), the 21-kilometre Capital Line starts at Clareview, Edmonton, Clareview in Edmonton's northeast and ends at Century Park, Edmonton, Century Park in Edmonton's south end. Valley Line (Edmonton)
The Valley Line is a future , low-floor urban light rail line in Edmonton, Alberta, currently under construction. It will be part of the Edmonton Light Rail Transit. It will run southeast to west from Mill Woods to Lewis Farms, crossing through downtown. The line will be constructed in phases, with phase 1 being the , 12-station portion between Mill Woods and 102 Street (Downtown) allowing passengers to connect with the Capital Line and Metro Line at Churchill station. Bonnie Doon, Edmonton
Bonnie Doon is a neighbourhood in south-central Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. The well-known Mill Creek Ravine Park forms its west boundary. The Bonnie Doon shopping mall is on its east boundary. Bonnie Doon was gradually settled from the 1870s onwards. The western part of Bonnie Doon became a part of the City of Strathcona in 1907 and became a part of Edmonton when Strathcona and Edmonton merged in 1912. The rest of the neighbourhood was annexed by Edmonton the following year. "Bonnie Doon" is a phrase in a Robbie Burns poem, and refers to the River Doon in Scotland. Idylwylde is a residential neighbourhood in south east Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. École Maurice-Lavallée is a high school in the Bonnie Doon neighbourhood of south-central Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. It provides Catholic francophone education to Grade 10-12 students. School history École Maurice-Lavallée is the first publicly funded francophone school in Edmonton. Its official inauguration occurred on November 27, 1984.
