Bonneville High School (Utah)
Bonneville High School is a secondary high school in Washington Terrace, Utah, United States. History Bonneville first opened its doors in the fall of 1960 to approximately 900 students, including freshmen. The school was built to address the overwhelming population growth (attributed to the post-war "baby boom") at the south end of Weber County. The school was built at a large cost to the Weber County School District. Every effort was made to make Bonneville reflect the latest in technology and culture. The building itself was designed with large, open spaces such as a central courtyard and smaller atriums spread throughout the campus. As the area continued to grow, it became necessary to renovate the buildings to house a larger student population. Washington Terrace, Utah
Washington Terrace, is a city in Weber County, Utah, United States. The population was 9,067 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Ogden– Clearfield, Utah Metropolitan Statistical Area. Washington Terrace had its foundings when it was developed in 1948 from a war time housing project. George Herman Van Leeuwen was instrumental in securing the land from the federal government and acted as the President of the Board of Directors. Due to his role in the organizing of the community, it was proposed to be named VanLeeuwenville, which was voted down for a variety of reasons. Tanoka Dwight Beard (born September 29, 1971) is an American former professional basketball player and coach. During his career, he was able to play both the power forward and center positions. He earned an All-EuroLeague Second Team selection in 2005, while leading the competition in rebounds, with an average of 10.6 per game. Ed Eyestone
Edward D. Eyestone (born June 15, 1961) is a two-time Olympic marathoner, long distance runner, and an NCAA coach. Running career High school Eyestone graduated from Bonneville High School in Washington Terrace, Utah and was the Utah State High School State Champion in cross-country and track and field. Collegiate Eyestone attended Brigham Young University (BYU) earning a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in psychology and a Master of Science (M.S.) in exercise science. While at BYU, he became a 10-time NCAA All-American and in 1984 went undefeated in NCAA cross-country events.
