Min Theinkha
Min Theinkha ( my, မင်းသိင်္ခ, born Aye Nyunt; 25 June 1939 – 1 August 2008) was a prominent Burmese writer, astrologer and political prisoner. He began his literary career in 1976, adopting the pseudonym Min Theinkha, and wrote hundreds of novels and short stories throughout his career, including notable works such as ''Manusari'', ''Ponna Ba Kun'' and ''Sanay Maung Maung''. He is best known for a series of detective novels set in Colonial Burma, featuring the hero Sarpalin Hnin Maung. He was also a well-known astrologer and later taught astrology from his compound in Yangon Region's Hmawbi Township. ''Kawleikgyin'' Ne Win ( my, ကောလိပ်ဂျင်နေဝင်း, ; 1 October 1928 – 2 June 1983) was a two-time Burmese Academy Award winning Burmese film actor and director. Early life Ne Win was born in Hinthada (Henzada), Ayeyarwady Division, the son of Daw Tin, a teacher, and U Thet Pe, a police officer. Born Ne Win, he was given his famous moniker after his successful debut film, ''Kawleikgyin'' (The Collegian), so as not to be confused with the late Burmese dictator with the same name, Gen. Ne Win. After graduating from Coming High School in Hinthada, Ne Win enlisted in the Burmese Navy in 1946. He left the navy in 1951 to enroll in Rangoon University. Kyaw Hein
Kyaw Hein (, ; born Kyaw Htay, 14 July 1947 – 11 July 2020) was a Burmese actor, film director and singer. He is the five-time winner of the Myanmar Motion Picture Academy Awards. He starred in and directed hundreds of films, and was considered one of the most important actors in Burmese cinema. He retired in 2008, and became a Theravada Buddhist monk, with the Dharma name (ကိတ္တိသာရ). He died as a monk on July 11, 2020 in Canberra, Australia.
