Olga Nikolaevna Bondareva (April 27, 1937 – December 9, 1991) was a distinguished Soviet mathematician and economist. She contributed to the fields of mathematical economics, especially game theory. Bondareva is best known as one of the two independent discoverers of the Bondareva–Shapley theorem. Biography In 1954 she entered the Mathematics and Mechanics Faculty of Leningrad State University, receiving her ''kandidat'' degree in 1963 under the supervision of Nikolai Vorobyov. She defended her ''doktor nauk'' degree in 1984 at the Faculty of Computational Mathematics and Cybernetics, Moscow State University. Boris Bondarev (russian: Борис Бондарев; born 1980) is a former Russian diplomat who worked for the Russian permanent mission to the United Nations Office at Geneva from 2019 until his resignation in May 2022 in protest over the Russian invasion of Ukraine. Early life and education Bondarev was born in 1980 to middle class parents of the Soviet intelligentsia. His father was an economist at the foreign trade ministry while his mother taught English at the Moscow State Institute of Foreign Relations. His maternal grandfather was a general during World War II and recognized as a Hero of the Soviet Union. He grew up in Moscow except for a brief time from 1984 until 1985 when his father was assigned to a Swiss Russian venture, and the family lived in Switzerland. Viktor Nikolaevich Bondarev (russian: Виктор Николаевич Бондарев; born 7 December 1959) is a Colonel General and former Commander of the Russian Aerospace Forces (1 August 2015 – 26 September 2017), and the former Commander-in-Chief of the Air Force branch of the Aerospace Forces (6 May 2012 – 1 August 2015). Timofei Bondarev
Timofej Mikhailovich Bondarev (Тимофе́й Миха́йлович Бо́ндарев 3 April 1820—3 November 1898) was a Russian peasant philosopher. He wrote the treatise '' The Triumph of the Farmer or Industry and Parasitism'', which inspired Leo Tolstoy. Tolstoy saw to its publication in 1888 and 1906. Life Bondarev was born a serf in southern Russia. When he was 37, his owner signed a commission to send him to the army for a 25-year conscription period. The conscription forcibly separated Bondarev from his wife and children. In the military, he renounced his Russian Orthodox faith and joined the Subbotniks, a Sabbatarian sect.
