Bold Dorjsuren (born on November 16, 1978) is a Mongolian singer, producer, and television personality. A boy band is loosely defined as a vocal group consisting of young male singers, usually in their teenage years or in their twenties at the time of formation. Camerton (band)
Camerton ( mn, Камертон, after the Russian word for tuning fork) are a Mongolian vocal group. They independently formed on June 24, 1995. The same year they won "Best Debut Group" at the Pentatonic Award, the biggest music awards in Mongolia. Widely considered as the first and the most successful pop/boy band in Mongolia, Camerton have released a total of ten albums and EPs between 1996 and 2004. All four of the band's members were classmates since they were 6 years old at the Mongolian Music and Dance academy. And the band was born by the time they were 15 years old. At the peak of their success, the band's popularity spanned throughout East Asia, most notably in Taiwan, where they have exclusively released a "best of" compilation. The Voice Of Mongolia (season 1)
''The Voice of Mongolia'' is a Mongolian reality talent show that aims to discover new singing talents. The first season, premiered on January 21, 2018 on Mongol HDTV. The series is part of the franchise ''The Voice'' and is based on a similar competition format in the Netherlands, ''The Voice of Holland''. The series was created by Dutch television producer John de Mol. It is part of an international series. The winner receives ₮100,000,000 ($38,000) amount of a record deal with Universal Music Group's Mongolian official representative, Mongol Content LLC, and a Nissan Qashqai. Hurd (band)
Hurd ( mn, Хурд, , "speed") is a Mongolian rock band. Formed in 1987 as Skorost (russian: Скорость, , also "speed") by drummer Dambyn Ganbayar, Hurd is considered the first band to have introduced the heavy metal genre into the Mongolian music landscape. Along with Chingis Khaan, Haranga or Niciton, they are considered "veterans" of the Mongolian pop rock scene, and, as such, they have greatly contributed to its diversification and encouraged the emergence of many new rock acts. Hurd has released nine studio albums, one live album, one compilation album, two video albums and one box set. Uka (singer)
Davaagiin Ulambayar ( mn, Даваагийн Уламбаяр; born 6 November 1982), known professionally as Uka ( mn, Ука), is a Mongolian singer, actress, and TV personality. Born into a family of eight, she first gained attention as a member of a girl group "Kiwi" in 2004. With her trademark blonde hair, and unorthodox dance moves, she was often the face of the group. After her band went inactive in 2014, she pursued a solo career. She has since released four studio albums, "I am in love" (2015), "11.06" (2015), "Hug-Jim" (2017), and "Don't Stop" (2018). Uka was one of the four judges in the first season of a Mongolian talent show, "The Voice of Mongolia", alongside Otgonbayar, Bold, and Ononbat. The Voice Of Mongolia (season 2)
The second season of the Mongolian reality talent show ''The Voice of Mongolia'' premiered on Mongol TV on January 19, 2020, but the first episode's first half premiered on December 31, 2019 as New Year's Eve gift. The first promo campaign aired on Mongol HDTV and their social media pages during summer. All four coaches return for their second season. The season had a new "steal" button on the Battles Round, informing each coach had to steal two contestants who just lost at the Battles stage. Then the season expanded from the first season, each coach has ten artists on their team during the Knockouts, rather than eight as in the first season.
