Bolanle Austen-Peters (born 4 February 1969), is a Nigerian movie director, theater producer and cultural entrepreneur. She is the founder and artistic director of BAP Productions and the arts and culture center Terra Kulture in Lagos. She has been described by the CNN as the "woman pioneering theater in Nigeria", named one of the most influential women in Africa by Forbes Afrique and been recognised with several awards for her contribution to the arts. Bolanle Awe (Yoruba: ''Bọ́láńlé (Fájẹ́m̄bọ́là) Awẹ́'' born 28 January 1933) is a Nigerian and Yoruba history professor. She became the Pro-Chancellor of the University of Nigeria in Nsukka. She has been called a Nigerian "intellectual hero". Life Awe was born on January 28, 1933, in the town of Ilesa, Nigeria to Samuel Akindeji Fajembola and Mosebolatan Abede. Early life Bolanle was raised in Nigeria, Israel, America and Kenya. Olukanni attended St. Saviour's Primary School in Lagos and went on to Queens College for secondary school. Olukanni moved to Kenya where she attended Rosslyn Academy in Nairobi, Kenya for part of her high school. Before her final year of high school, she moved to America and for her senior year she attended Wichita Southeast High School in Wichita, Kansas, where she participated in the National Speech and Debate Tournament for Dramatic Interpretation.
