First Lady Of Lagos State
The first lady of Lagos State is the advisor to the Lagos State governor, and often plays a role in social activism. The position is traditionally held by the wife of the Lagos State Governor, Lagos State governor, concurrent with his term of office, although the Constitution of Nigeria does not recognize the office of the first lady. The current first lady is Ibijoke Sanwo-Olu. Akinwunmi Ambode (born 14 June 1963) is a Nigerian politician who served as Governor of Lagos State from 2015 to 2019. He was a civil servant for 27 years and a financial consultant before running for public office. Ambode ran for office of the Governor of Lagos State in April 2015 as a member of the All Progressives Congress, the state's ruling party. Abimbola Fashola
Abimbola Fashola (born 6 April 1965) is a former First Lady of Lagos State and spouse of Babatunde Fashola. Early life and career Abimbola Emmanuela Fashola was born on 6 April 1965, in Ibadan, the capital of Oyo State, southwestern Nigeria. She was trained as secretary at the Lagoon Secretarial College in Lagos, where she obtained a diploma certificate. She later received a certificate in Computer Science from the University of Lagos. She worked briefly as a trainee journalist at the Daily Sketch before she joined the services of the British Council in 1987 but resigned in 2006 when her husband Babatunde Fashola was nominated as the flag bearer of his party and the governorship candidate of the defunct Action Congress of Nigeria. Claudiana Ibijoke Sanwo-Olu (née Carrena; born 8 January 1967) is the first lady of Lagos State in Nigeria, as the spouse of the governor of Lagos State Babajide Sanwo-Olu. Early life Claudiana Ibijoke Carrena was born in 1967 in the Lagos Island neighborhood of Popo-Aguda, the daughter of Paulinus Olusegun Carrena. Like most residents of the historic neighborhood, the Carrena family are Brazilian descendants.
