Maurice Boisvert (18 February 1897 – 23 February 1988) was a Canadian politician and lawyer. He was elected to the House of Commons of Canada as a Member of the Liberal Party in the 1949 election to represent the riding of Nicolet—Yamaska defeating Progressive Conservative MP Renaud Chapdelaine who had won an upset by-election victory earlier that year. Boisvert was re-elected in 1953. He was born in 1897, the son of Adelard and Laura (née Cartier) Boisvert. Boisvert River is a tributary of the north shore of Ashuapmushuan Lake, flowing into the unorganized territory of Lac-Ashuapmushuan, Quebec, into the Regional County Municipality (RCM) of Le Domaine-du-Roy, in the administrative region of Saguenay-Lac-Saint-Jean, in Quebec, in Canada. Pierre Serge Boisvert (born June 1, 1959) is a Canadian former professional ice hockey player for the Toronto Maple Leafs and Montreal Canadiens. In Sweden, Boisvert played for Västra Frölunda, and for Frisk Tigers, Spektrum Flyers and Vålerenga in Norway. He won the Calder Cup in 1985. He won a Stanley Cup championship in 1986 with Montreal. Sacha Boisvert (born March 17, 2006) is a Canadian ice hockey centre for the North Dakota Fighting Hawks of the NCHC. He was drafted 18th overall by the Chicago Blackhawks in the 2024 NHL entry draft. Playing career During the 2022–23 season, Boisvert recorded 17 goals and 28 assists in 57 games for the Muskegon Lumberjacks and was named to the USHL All-Rookie second team. During the 2023–24 season, he recorded 36 goals and 32 assists in 61 regular games for the Lumberjacks. During the playoffs he recorded three assists in eight games. Alex Boisvert-Lacroix (born 8 April 1987) is a Canadian speed skater who is specialized in the sprint distances. Career Boisvert-Lacroix started his speed skating career as a short tracker and competed in his first World Cup in 2007. He switched from short track to long track speed skating in 2010.
