Boing (Italian TV Channel)
Boing is an Italian free-to-air television channel marketed at children and teenagers, owned by Boing S.p.A., a joint venture of Fininvest's MFE - MediaForEurope (through its Mediaset Italia subsidiary) and Warner Bros. Discovery (through its International division). It is available on digital terrestrial television and free-to-air satellite provider Tivùsat. History The channel launched on 20 November 2004 at 8:00 pm, after replacing VJ TV some months prior with a sign that said ''Boing, in arrivo.'' (Boing, coming soon.). In 2006 the channel rebranded to a new transparent screenbug and logo in promos, to follow the brand identity of Mediaset's other channels. The change included a new graphics package, introducing Animadz. Most of the Animadz lasted until August 2020. 576i is a standard-definition television, standard-definition digital video mode, originally used for digitizing analog television in most countries of the world where the utility frequency for electric power distribution is 50 Hz. Because of its close association with the legacy color encoding systems, it is often referred to as PAL, PAL/SECAM or SECAM when compared to its 60 Hz (typically, see PAL-M) NTSC-colour-encoded counterpart, 480i. The ''576'' identifies a vertical resolution of 576 lines, and the ''i'' identifies it as an Interlaced video, interlaced resolution. Top Crime, often stylised TOPcrime, is a thematic television channel, dedicated to the TV series and movies on the world of crime, operated by Mediaset and owned by MFE - MediaForEurope. The broadcasts began on 1 June 2013 both on digital terrestrial television (on mux Mediaset Italia 2), and on satellite via the satellite platform Tivù Sat, both with the channel 39. The trailer with previews of the schedule were first shown on 21 May of that year. The channel started its regular broadcasts transmitting the first two episodes of the seventh season, first-run movies for television of Bones. The channel offers re-run television series such as ''Columbo'' and ''Poirot'', as well as new films themed for this type of programming. Boing (Spanish TV Channel)
Boing is a Spanish free-to-air television channel launched in 2010 and owned as a joint venture between Mediaset España and Warner Bros. Discovery through its International unit. When Cartoonito and Cartoon Network were shut down on 30 June 2013, many of their programmes were moved to Boing, alongside new Boomerang programmes. Series on the channel are also available in English via a secondary audio feed. Additional Boing feeds are available in Italy, France and Sub-Saharan Africa, with Cartoon Network and Boomerang also being available in those territories. History On 28 November 2008, Telecinco and Turner, reached an agreement to introduce a children's programming block on the Telecinco channel, with some 42 hours of weekly programming. Cartoonito is a brand name used by Warner Bros. Discovery for a collection of television networks and Block programming, programming blocks that target preschool-age children. The name combines the "cartoon" with the Spanish language, Spanish suffix "ito", meaning "small". As of 2022, Cartoonito-branded channels exist in the United Kingdom and Ireland (their original flagship service), Italy, and Cartoonito (Latin American TV channel), Latin America, while branded blocks currently air on Cartoon Network in the United Kingdom, Ireland, the Middle East, Turkey, the Cartoonito (American programming block), United States, Japan, Southeast Asia, Taiwan, South Korea, and Oceania, as well as Boomerang (TV network), Boomerang in the Nordic countries, Nordics, Portugal, Africa, Southeast Asia, Taiwan, Central and Eastern Europe and Turkey.
