Featherweight is a weight class in the combat sports of boxing, kickboxing, mixed martial arts, and Greco-Roman wrestling. Boxing Professional boxing History A featherweight boxer weighs in at a limit of . In the early days of the division, this limit fluctuated. The British have generally always recognized the limit at 126 pounds, but in America the weight limit was at first 114 pounds. David "Davey" S. Moore (November 1, 1933 – March 25, 1963) was an American featherweight world champion boxer who fought professionally from 1953 to 1963. A resident of Springfield, Ohio, Moore was one of two world champions to share the name in the second half of the 20th century. Enfield Crematorium is a crematorium located on the A10 road (England), Great Cambridge Road, Enfield, London. It was opened in 1938 and consists of of land, most of which is dedicated to the gardens of remembrance. The crematorium is a local listed red brick building. History Enfield Crematorium was opened by the Tottenham and Wood Green Burial Board in 1938, and the landscaping of its grounds forms a cohesive whole with the main buildings, which include a pair of chapels connected by a triple-arched Arcade (architecture), arcade. An avenue of horse chestnuts leads from the entrance lodge; formal gardens were created to the east of the crematorium, while a more informal sunken Garden of Remembrance to the north west. ''Minder'' is a British comedy-drama series about the London criminal underworld. Initially produced by Verity Lambert, it was made by Euston Films, a subsidiary of Thames Television, and shown on ITV for ten series between 1979 and 1994. Vernon Sollas (born 14 August 1954) is a Scottish former Boxing, boxer, businessman and music manager, who was British featherweight champion between 1975 and 1977. Career From Edinburgh, Sollas fought as an amateur out of the Madison ABC, and in 1972 finished runner-up to Kirkland Laing in the England Boxing, ABA featherweight (51kg) final. He turned professional in 1973 and moved base to London where he was managed by former British champion Bobby Neill, stopping John O'Rawe in his debut in February. He fought eight more times that year, including wins over Albert Amatler and Bashew Sibaca, losing only once, to George McGurk. Alan Rudkin MBE (18 November 1941 – 22 September 2010) was a British national, Commonwealth, and European bantamweight boxing champion (1965–1970). He was born in St Asaph (Wales), as his pregnant mother was evacuated from Liverpool during the second world war. He was brought up in Dingle, Liverpool, and was a member of the Florence Institute. Lloyd Honeyghan (born 22 April 1960) is a British former professional boxer who competed from 1980 to 1995. Alan Sydney Minter (17 August 19519 September 2020) was a British professional boxer who competed from 1972 to 1981. He held the undisputed middleweight title in 1980, having previously held the British middleweight title from 1975 to 1976, and the European middleweight title twice between 1977 and 1979. As an amateur, Minter won a bronze medal in the light-middleweight division at the 1972 Summer Olympics.
