Bob Stone
Robert Lewis Stone (26 May 1925 – 24 June 2015) was an Australian rules footballer who played with Melbourne in the Victorian Football League (VFL). Personal life The son of Ronald William Stone (1897–1967), and Gertrude Amy Stone (1898–1951), ''née'' Berryman, Robert Lewis Stone was born at Somerville, Victoria Somerville is a suburb on the Mornington Peninsula in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia, south-east of Melbourne's Central Business District, located within the Shire of Mornington Peninsula local government area. Inverloch is a seaside town located in Victoria, Australia and the most populous city of the Bass Coast Shire. It is located south east of Melbourne via the South Gippsland Highway on the Bass Highway in the Bass Coast Shire of Gippsland, Victoria, Australia. Australian football, also called Australian rules football or Aussie rules, or more simply football or footy, is a contact sport played between two teams of 18 players on an oval field, often a modified cricket ground. Points are scored by kicking the oval ball between the central goal posts (worth six points), or between a central and outer post (worth one point, otherwise known as a "behind"). The Australian Football League (AFL) is the only fully professional competition of Australian rules football.
