The Hastings Football & Netball Club, nicknamed the ''Blues'', is an Australian rules football and netball club based in Hastings, Victoria. The football squad plays in the Mornington Peninsula Nepean Football League (MPNFL) and has won 22 Senior Premierships since its first season in 1887. At the end of the 2018 season, Hastings finished 6th with 10 wins and 8 losses. In the 2019 season, ex Carlton and Brisbane player Brendan Fevola will play for Hastings. He is expected to play against Tyabb in his debut match for the club. Mornington Peninsula Nepean Football League
The Mornington Peninsula Nepean Football League (abbreviated "MPNFL") is an Australian rules football competition, governed by the AFL South East. The MPNFL contains teams near the south eastern region of Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. At the end of the 2017 season, the competition was restructured from a geographical to a divisional structure, with promotion/ relegation. It contains two divisions with 22 teams in all, 10 in Division 1 and 12 in Division 2. History The league was formed in 1987 upon the merger of the Mornington Peninsula FL and the Nepean FL. Football on the Peninsula region goes back to 1908, and in 2008 celebrated its centenary. The first league, the Peninsula FA, was formed in 1908. This competition played until 1933, and then it merged with the Peninsula District FA (formed in 1920) to form the Mornington Peninsula FL for the 1934 season. Peter Everitt
Peter "Spida" Everitt (born 3 May 1974) is a former Australian rules footballer who played for the St Kilda Football Club, Hawthorn Football Club and Sydney Swans in the Australian Football League (AFL). He played for St Kilda from 1993 to 2002, Hawthorn from 2003 to 2006, and Sydney in 2007 and 2008. He finished his career having played 291 games in the AFL. John Angus McMillan (22 September 1912 – 30 August 1969) was an Australian rules footballer who played with Footscray in the Victorian Football League (VFL). Clement Reginald "Clem" Splatt (17 September 1899 – 18 August 1963) was an Australian rules footballer who played with Collingwood and Hawthorn in the Victorian Football League (VFL). Family The son of Henry Bartlett Splatt (1863–1938), and Mary Ann Splatt (1871–1937), née Ely, Clement Reginald Splatt was born at Greensborough, Victoria on 17 September 1899. Brendan Fevola
Brendan Fevola (born 20 January 1981) is a former professional Australian rules footballer. He played with the Carlton and Brisbane Lions football clubs in the Australian Football League (AFL). Fevola is regarded as one of the most effective full-forwards to have played AFL in the 2000s, having won the Coleman Medal for league leading goalkicker in 2006 and 2009 (kicking 84 and 86 goals, respectively) as well as All-Australian selection as a forward three times since 2006. His representative honours include playing for Victoria, where he was awarded the Allen Aylett Medal for being the state team's best player, and leading goalkicker.
