Bob Gardner (golfer)
Robert S. Gardner (born c. 1954) is a legislator in the U.S. state of Colorado. A United States Air Force veteran and attorney, Gardner was elected to the Colorado House of Representatives as a United States Republican Party, Republican in 2006. From 2006 to 2012, he represented House District 21, which encompasses western El Paso County, Colorado, El Paso County and northeastern Fremont County, Colorado, Fremont County. In the 2016 general election, Gardner was elected to represent Colorado's 12th Senate district, Senate District 12. Biography Gardner graduated from the United States Air Force Academy in 1976, and served as a missile launch officer in the Air Force. While an Air Force officer, Gardner earned a Juris Doctor, J.D. from the University of Texas in 1981 with honors and a L.L.M. from George Washington University Law School in 1986, specializing in government procurement law. Colorado's 12th Senate district is one of 35 districts in the Colorado Senate. It has been represented by Republican Bob Gardner since 2017, succeeding fellow Republican Bill Cadman. Fremont County is a county located in the U.S. state of Colorado. As of the 2020 census, the population was 48,939. The county seat is Cañon City. The county is named for 19th-century explorer and presidential candidate John C. Frémont. Fremont County comprises the Cañon City, CO Micropolitan Statistical Area, which is also included in the Pueblo-Cañon City, CO Combined Statistical Area. Ronny J. "Ron" May (born September 16, 1934) is a former Colorado legislator. An Air Force veteran, he was elected to the Colorado Springs city council, then to the Colorado House of Representatives as a Republican in 1992. John Morse (Colorado Legislator)
John P. Morse (born November 4, 1958) is an American former politician who was a state senator in the Colorado Senate from 2007 to 2013, serving as president of the senate in 2013. He is a member of the Democratic Party. Morse represented Senate District 11, which encompasses Manitou Springs, Colorado, and eastern Colorado Springs. A school voucher, also called an education voucher in a voucher system, is a certificate of government funding for students at schools chosen by themselves or their parents. The Colorado Springs School District 11 (District 11 or D-11) is the central school district of Colorado Springs, Colorado. Its headquarters are in that city. History The first school in Colorado Springs was organized by Mary Mellen "Queen" Palmer, wife of city founder William Jackson Palmer, in late 1871. Classes were first held in a home on the northeast corner of Cascade Avenue and Bijou Street, rented by Mrs. Palmer for the school. School District 11 was established in August 1872. The district enrollment passed 1000 by 1883 and stood at 1776 on opening day of the Colorado Springs High School building in 1893.
